Good call. The two best decisions this off season were to not take on Rehn at Glenelg and Collins at South.

NICK Stevens missed out on the South Adelaide coaching job before Glenelg swooped on the retired 231-game AFL midfielder.

Speaking on Wednesday for the first time since being appointed Tigers coach last Friday, Stevens said he only went for the job after learning it was a full-time position because he wants to make a career out of coaching.

Glenelg's coaching position was initially advertised as part-time while the full-time South Adelaide job went to Brad Gotch.

"I went through the process with South and got down to the last two from all reports and it was quite ironic because when they told me I'd missed out on that job, the next day I was on the phone to Glenelg so it seems like it happened for a reason," Stevens said.

Within five days of speaking to Glenelg he was in Adelaide to present to the selection panel and was offered the job 24 hours later.

After watching my sister stay, leave, keep going back into an abusive relationship, this bloke needs to go if proven guilty in court. It takes women years and about 5 attempts to leave before they finally leave an abusive man. This is not cool for Glenelg or the SANFL. Unlikely that police would follow through with charges unless the evidence is there.

You would think if proven to be guilty he would not be able to complete his Glenelg obligations anyway.

My sister's ex got a suspended sentence and I think a good behaviour bond so could continue to work but there is no place in the SANFL for a coach whose been found guilty of domestic violence. Glenelg probably should start considering their option. Police don't waste the time of the courts for nothing. They will have evidence.

The fact aside that this would be giving you an enormous hard on luketorrens, by your belief because police have "followed through with charges" against Stevens & "police don't waste the time of the courts" then he has to be guilty - rrrrrriiiiight.
