Here's a random thought...

Given the number of sides and rounds that C&CCA have, does anyone think the comp could "streamline" a little and run a shorter season instead of making it last as long as every other comp except with half the games?

Yes i do. I reckon a one day game to finish the Minor round and Saturday/Sunday finals series would be a good start.

What about bonus points for one day sides for the team batting second?

1 bonus point for every 10 overs inside the allocated 40 overs to chase the runs.. simple and easy and avoids sides that may roll a team cheaply from missing out on valuable points that could prove the difference.

Sorry Mr bastick just creating conversation :P

Personally Sat/Sat finals are sooooo fricking boring.. talk about dragging out the season! We could be wrapping up the season this weekend with the GF's and then be able to go watch mates etc in other comps finals

Yep agree with that, although I like the idea of celebrating a flag on Saturday night instead of a Sunday Night.

Results obviously aren't ideal lol.. ok well they are snot.. but..

Credit to Fitzroy and the two Lutheran sides, their finals experience and intensity really showed through.

Fitzroy used the conditions well and set strong fields, bowled extremely well and strangled our batting, infact we were lucky to string a couple of partnerships together to get some sort of total after being 5/12 and 8/31! We batted poorly and they bowled well and 65 is the result.

We still feel we are a chance though, have Fitzroy 5 down, a lot of cricket to be played and where there is still a heart beat in this game we wont die wondering...

With the B grade we flt on top most of the day but some sloppy fielding and inability to take regular wickets allowed AL to build a platform to launch late in the game. They went from 100 to 200 in the last 10 overs.

C Grade - dropped Gehling a few times, bowled poorly and a small ground resulted in a masive chase on our hands.

65 WTF.
Dumb I know but that's enough.
Should have declared at 50 and made a game of it.
Seriously though they still have to get 30.
Come on Toddy.

4 times this season Enfield have claimed the last 5 wickets in an innings for less than 20 runs..

Enfields bowling attack averages 12.84 runs per wicket

Will be an extremely hard fought match, especially if Enfield can grab a couple of quick wickets early
