Prelim Final Discussion

Postby JK » Sun Oct 02, 2011 7:05 pm

Eagles 9.13 (67) to Norwood 3.5 (23)

Thankfully was driving back from Melb and missed the game, some fair soul searching to do at the Parade over summer I'd say.

Well done to the Eagles who join the Dogs in the big one, best of luck to both clubs.

Worst game of SANFL footy this year.

If 12 people bother turning up next week it's a good result after that. MONSFAW? Bunch of pansies.

Goody gumdrops! No more Norwood for this year so now I can finally say what I really think of them...I NEVER rated you!

As I said during the third quarter of the June match against the Legs to a fellow Dogs supporter, Norwood aren't as good as they and their supporters (in particular that embarrassment of a cheersquad of yours) think they are! Once the Dogs got some run together in the last they made Norwood look like a rabble.

They might look good during the normal season but behind that facade is a team that is very very flaky. Comparisons with Glenelg from a few years back aren't hard to find...

In the aftermath of a disappointing season, the question must be asked:

Should Norwood have contested the Foxtel Cup, a competition which it certainly would have won, rather than put all its eggs in the SANFL premiership basket, eventually finishing the season with neither senior trophy?

I did but I tried to not make it too obvious. When we flogged you at Elizabeth I said that comparisons between you and and Glenelg aren't too hard to find. And before the 2nd Semi I said that I was supremely confident that Centrals would beat Norwood.

It's also fair to say that losing Duigan, Puopolo and Phillips has finally caught up with you.

We just didn't fire a shot all day. Hard to even find a player that you could include in the best players. We looked done in the first five minutes.

Well done Eagles, great character shown. I thought your Senior players all played well. All the best for nect week, it will be tough but I think you might put up more of a fight than we would have.

Probably, because he is used to being located in that box as opposed to the other one.

Honest mistake.

Terrible game. Skills were shocking on both sides and was one of the more boring games of football i can remember watching.

Norwood a huge disappointment but im glad the Eagles kept Treebys chances of a goodbye premiership alive. Sadly, on what we saw today, I think its going to be 'Centrals by how much' as opposed to any real contest.

Crowd terrible. 6500 for a Prelim?

Why would you assume that? Such assumptions are folly.

Myself, three wives and eight kids will make up the twelve. Presuming the wirecutters work, of course.
