Found out today that there are actually significant chunks of various flight paths where there is no radar coverage. Also, it's up to each individual airline whether or not they allow crew on board to be able to disable any radar or tracking functions on the plane.

...and cabin crew of say, 8 people (?) would not be over taken immediately by only 2 or 3 terrorists. Someone would have had the opportunity to send out a distress alarm if this we're the case.
Ah yes but not if the cabin crew were in on the sting.

Any thoughts that the plane was hijacked subtly as it's been shown the co-pilot is pretty negligent by letting people in the cockpit. Then cutting off all transmitters and then slowly stopping the oxygen flow to the plane making the entire plane slowly lose consciousness whilst the pilot wears an oxygen mask.

Take the plane to an undisclosed location and then use it to cause carnage another time...

Long shot I know, but I suspect intelligence knows far more than we do (or I hope so). I'm off to Bali tomorrow and a little on edge...

You'll be fine. An Australian dies every 9 days in Bali on the ground, not in the air. ;)

I might have had a bit too much squid(s) for tea but I think it's pretty obvious the Malaysian Airlines plane is sitting in a hanger in Roswell.

More people die by coconuts falling on their heads than shark attacks ;)

Why football commentators wear suits?

Even more puzzling, why do boundary riders wear suits?

Why an ex union boss who is found guilty of defrauding $1million from a health services union fund & hindering a police investigation, gets seven and a half years jail (five years non parole) yet the father of a four month old baby girl, bashes her to death inflicting horrific injuries before she died, gets only nine years (seven non parole ).
These crimes are poles and poles apart.

7.5 years is a bit rich. I know there isn't such a thing as a victimless crime but for me, physical violence of any sort should be dealt with far more harshly than embezzlement. On top of that, if you harm a child/minor or animal, both defenseless, you should get triple the normal penalty.
