You could see this happening and I think it will happen more as so many coaches have now been at Port and will be trying to get the players they need

Certainly surprising for mine given that it appeared he had a very close relationship with Williams.
Has his brother's decision to retire made this an easier choice for him?

The obvious connections IMHO will be Richmond, Melbourne, Hawthorn and Essendon in that order.

Not sure what to say. He is one of our best players when on song, if not our best and we will miss him as made evident by our disfunctional mid field during 09.

However, if he doesn't have his heart in helping a club that gave him a start and a Premiership Medallion get up off the canvas then I dont want him!

Not sure if I am more angry or dissapointed.Angry at this stage.

Good for Port.

Lose the most overrated player in the game and probably get a pick in the 10-15 range.

I'd be surprised to see a club offer a first round pick for a guy of his age and with his injury issues.

I dare say Ports contract offer wasnt what he hoped for and considering his injury issues its probably fair enough, who is his manager? No doubt told him he can earn the coin he wants elsewhere...

His manager is i think Ben(?) Williams, ex Big Brother contestant, who i think is married to Jade Robran, ex ch 10 sports journo.

I don't know too much inside info, but it may appears that there is more than just money involved.
