Although the Eagles had a good win against the legs I would expect Cicolella, Schwarze, Hier, Jacky and Paul Stewart to come under strong consideration for the game against west. Gogol and McEntee have to be replaced in the main defensive positions. Gogol is just not good enough, while McEntee has played most of his career up forward and could be given a go up forward later on. It might be a good time to play Schwarze at CHB where he was originally recruited for Hier to fullback and Paul Stewart to a HB flank or back pocket, this combo couldn't do any worse than the current incumbents. If Jacky comes back and Cicca is promoted a couple of the young lads might have to go.

Friday nights game showed why it's important to keep Nick Salter in the forward area, he kicked some great goals.

depends on Which West Adelaide team shows UP the first half team or the whole game team. The strawb family will be at Richmond for the 50 years of Westies at Richmond and we are hoping for four quarters of hard football action and hopefully the past players and volunteers who helped build richmond oval will inspire the Bloodhound boy for a big win.

With the players possibly available to the Eagles, Cica, P Stewart, Hier and Schwarze i think it will be a tough one for the Bloods to win we will certainly need to get some help in the ruck for Neaves, Moran i think would be a chance to suit up this week and we could do well for another forward. I think we can match up well with your forward line and midfield but your back line will be too strong for us and will provide the platform for the Eagles to win.

As for Gogol, Centrals simply don't let good players go. We have recently had Cragg-Sapsford and Heath Commane that were let go by Centrals and they didn't make it at a league level.

I hope if CICA is promoted he does the first thing with the Ball and not try and do 10 things with it before doing anything.A couple of huge errors in the first quarter against Norwood .But he is a must inclusion along with Heir from the SECONDS.And Staples must come in to consideration .

Be a big plus if P Stewart and Jacky come into the side.

Who would get left out no idea but the backline needs to be shored up at present IMHO!!

With a confidence building win aginst Norwood and some handy palyers to come back into the side the Eagles should be far too strong for the Bloods. Should be interesting to see what happens at the selection table this week.

This is very much a danger game for the Eagles and I would not be at all surprised to see West Adelaide win. West upset the Eagles in the corresponding game last year and it really set back our season.

Ferret, your comments are exactly right, Gogoll just not good enough, McEntee is some value but not as a key defender and Salter up forward is an absolute must.
The Eagles could make up to six changes this week, Cica should come in, Schwarze is available, Zac Hier is needed at full back, Paul Stewart can go to defence, James Stewart is not listed as injured and Chris Knights is ready for a game...note 4 of these has played AFL footy and can really bolster our stocks. Can we find six to drop...probably Gogoll, McEntee, Daveron, Lane, Mackie and Biagi and a few of those would be pretty unlucky.

Knights should be a huge boost, and Cicolella, but above all Paul Stewart and Hier, because the defence is the main problem.

Symmons Passador Salter
Lane Grocke Fairclough
Cicolella Powell Jarrad
Treeby P.Stewart J.Stewart
P.Fiacchi Hier Broadbent
Dabrowski McKenzie Knights
Int: (choose from) Schwarze Fitzgerald Roberts Hicks Daveron Jacky

I wouldn't expect Colville to be in contention until the following week, Twomey would be in the mix that week too.

That does look like a much more impressive Eagles side (I feel better now). It will be great if we can get Chris Knights back for a few, he always plays so well for the Eagles. And I agree that Salter must play up forward. He has shown many times how brilliant he can be around the goals.

13 premiership players are in that side, then there's Knights and Schwarze in there as well. That side looks much better, but arguably still not at full strength - I'd have Colville, R.Fiacchi and Twomey in that side.
