Do people agree there is such a thing as dumb courage...
Seems AFL players these days are so professional and will be ridiculed so much if they shirk a contest that they are throwing themselves into ridiculous collisions....
Obviously there's times when you've got to go, running back with the ball etc but sometimes its just stupid and often the player is knocked out and gone for the game, which is massive these days being a man down on the bench....
Thoughts?!
And while I'm at it, with the head being protected so much by umpires it seems player are just diving at opponents legs and knees knowing they will get a free kick but in fact putting themselves at more risk, meaning the rule isnt doing skadoosh. Sometimes a player is standing there not moving and a dude unleashes a flying headbutt at his leg and he gives away a free.... whats he meant to do?

For those who say the modern day players are soft they need to watch this mans game and it shows they are as tough as ever but it is shown in a different manner to what it was 20 years ago.

Did Lewis know it was coming though .. Taking the eye off the ball for a split second could be the difference between getting to the ball first or second sometimes such is the speed of their game.
