Larry Mad dog Hanson is the king of building pressure in finals and is a man on a mission in search for his 5th sca flag.

Look for a Coller led shoes to bounce back next week to set up what could be a cracker GF in a couple of weeks.

Thoughts???

What are peoples thoughts regarding a district player playing for his district club on Sat while his local club is involved in a Sat Sun final. Come Sunday the said player rocks up and plays for his local club.

1) Is there a rule covering this???
2)Is this in the spirit of the game???
3)If the answer is no ruling what stops a player opening the batting for his district club makes jack then gets in his car and bats for his local club.

Variation is the key and thats why kinnear is so good he has the short ball, the wide and the no ball there are 3 quality balls there.

Pretty sure MAGYVER wouldnt get hit over cover/point for 6 by a number 9 batsman!

If that were to ever happen I don't think his district career would last much longer

1 if a player has played 6 days for that club he then qualifies for finals,if the club has more than 1 side in finals he can then play in a lower grade.2 Is it in the spirit of the game?well its allow within the rules and we want as many players in our comp come next week if his a grade lose he cant play,so does that answer your question.3 I know for sure that he played when not selected by his district club,so good luck to him for his service to his local club.Rumour has it that Flagstaff Hill is putting back its team from a decade ago,led by the captain who took them to a premiership,7 a grade sides next year.

Not sure if relevant but ATCA have a dual registration scenario where District players are registered with their grade club and their community club.
This is designed to allow players that miss selection at a grade club to go back and play cricket.
As an extension, they now allow 1 "guest player" to play in home and away games.
For example if a district club have a bye, an A grade player can play that round for his community club..

Personally I am not a fan.

Given the connections our club has with various Grade clubs, it could see us playing a well performed A grade district cricketer in at least 4 minor round games..
Not sure that it is totally in the spirit of the game though ???
