Why do posts people make on other sites carry any weight in arguments on here?

Don't carry any weight, he just asked for examples.
PS If it was my SANFL club on the ropes I'd be at the rally no matter what.

Cheap shot. As Inventory Manager ( only part of my role ) it's fairly important that I'm here today. I've donated money, bought memberships and attended the meeting the other week. Me marching along Port Rd in the next hour makes little difference to my clubs plight....unless of course someone is donating $500 for every person who is there marching.

Wasn't a cheap shot, just stating I wouldn't miss it for any reason no matter how much money I'd previously spent, we all have different priorities and place different amounts of importance on our clubs, that's cool, nothing wrong with that.
It is a bit warm out there.

Of all the people to make that comment to I'd suggest you couldn't have picked a worse example ... for the reasons outlined in the above post.

I just made the comment about myself so you've lost me there.
I certainly wouldn't have time to be posting on this forum if there was a rally for North Adelaide on, but that's just me. As I said, we're all different, that's cool. :D

You think I dont want to be there? Well I sure do. But my employer pays me well, funds a nice car for me, has taken ( and is about to again ) me overseas and helps maintain the quality of life my family enjoys.I wouldn't get sacked for missing today but it wouldn't be taken lightly. I guess some of us place different amounts of importance on our jobs/income/family. Thats cool. ;)

Do tell, how would me attending today's march help my club's finances in a more positive way than me donating money or buying multiple memberships?

*Edit*

I have two screens at work, one keying in figures, the other posting in here. I finish at 5pm and hope to have my work done before then.

Dont take offence mate, not telling you what you should do with your life, once again, I just said what I would do. Mind you I'd probably even go further and help run one but, hey, that's just me. We're all different, I wouldn't let a job dictate to me what I can and can't do with important things in my life and I've organised my life that way and some may not deem their footy club that important in relation to other things but I do, well I used to anyway. :D

Back on track, if there's thousands out there tonight, they might get even more members which would be truly astonishing, I wish them all the best!

PS You key in figures on a keyboard, not a screen. ;)

One screen with xls sheets for stocktake, one screen for here. Ergo two screens.

Anyway, I'm off to the march as I'm finished my days work for my very good employer on this most critical of days, year end stocktake.

I'm sure they appreciate my loyalty and will continue to help me and my family maintain our lifestyle, something very important to me. Perhaps not everyone though.

Geez mate, you're making a lot of posts today, you should find something else to do with so much free tiime. ;)
It started 15 mins a go so good luck with that mate! Dont speed and avoid the Port Rd/West Terrace area, its a shocker thanks to that bloody tram extension.
Put some sunscreen on that noggin of yours too!
You should get an employer like some that allow those and also allow the flexibility to show support for your footy club, that's the best of all worlds! Best of all get a missus that earns mega bucks! :D

Just an observation, but if you'd spent less time on the internet at work you could have finished your stocktake hours ago

I stand by my comment, for those people who were 50/50 and not huge fans it that time was always going to be ridiculous. I just thought they could do more to maximise their numbers and getting the fringe supporters along.
For the fanatics it makes no difference, they'll make sure they are there.
But yes, I'll buy Booney a beer, I'll buy anyone a beer! :D

Actually I asked for 5 posts.

You replied with 'rucci', which is the answer I'd expect from a 5 year old.

Simple....yeah, you are a bit.

Nice, name calling. is that the best you can do? i reckon you are attacking the wrong person though. i never said anything about port fans bleating, others did, but i have seen examples of it through the main stream media. i just happened to point it out and you resort to names. must have a really good argument there if thats the best you can do

It's called multi-tasking and the stocktake sheets were being "fed"to me as and when staff completed certain areas. If I could have had it done by lunch time, I would have.

Back to another point made, the time at which it was held was perhaps not the best time but the best intentions of the organisers cant be questioned.

What Bollocks! Multi-tasking is doing more than one job.....surfing the 'net is called misuse of company assets....sounds like an organisation ripe for some productivity improvements and cost savings....your not working at the Magpies are you

LOL, so you'd be there no matter what?

If you missus was in labour? A child in intensive care fighting for their life? A clash with a best mate's wedding?

You'd be at a footy rally before any of those?

In terms of work, you mustn't have any real responsibility mate because some people do and can't drop everyone if their employer needs them there.

If I had that attitude then in years gone by one or more of he following would have happened while I was off supporting my club ... Water supply major incident with major health risks, state electricity grid down, major gas supply incident.

But hey, each to their own, without malice or prejudice!
