As I have said before and many have already said here, Craig is a great coach who will win us a flag. The players lost the game on the weekend, not Craig. End of story.
And until someone comes up with a valid alternative to Craig, the 'sack Craig' movement carries no weight whatsoever. I mean Terry Wallace FFS?? That's the funniest thing I've heard in a loooooooong time.![]()
Good on ya Craigy, you've got the boys up and about and had a super year. Bring on 2010!
I can't say with any feeling of certainty, whether I think Craig will or won't win the Crows a premiership, I think that can only be answered when you get your cattle and system to a high enough level, which whilst presently close, is not there at the minute.
If Craig gets them to a Grand Final with a team that is legitimately good enough and then fails, only then can I think he wears criticism.
Sat nights game could have gone either way, and a great deal of Adelaide supporters somehow overlook the fact that Collingwood are a quality side, whoever lost that game was going to be devastated - As the Bulldogs were in 97, this time it was Adelaide's turn.
Both the above posts have my support.
I agree the players are not yet at the required level, but they are getting there, and Neil Craig did demonstrate his preparedness to change the game plan once the manpower to play a different style was there.
Perhaps he should have changed it sooner, but that is easy to say in retrospect.
I look forward to further development of the team next year.
