Dew signs on with the Swans

Postby brod » Tue Nov 17, 2009 6:48 pm

FORMER Port Adelaide and Hawthorn premiership player Stuart Dew has joined the Swans as an assistant coach.

Dew will be the club's development coach, a role which became available following the departure of Brett Allison to North Melbourne.

Dew will join Stuart Maxfield and Daniel McPherson in the development department.

“We are extremely pleased to add a person of Stuart’s character and extraordinary playing background to our coaching team,” coach Paul Roos said.

“Coming from two excellent clubs in Port Adelaide and Hawthorn, and having won premierships with both, he will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that he will be able to pass onto our players.”

Dew will officially start at the club on Monday

Probably nothing. Wants a new challenge at a new club? Hardly unheard of.

i don't agree! i reckon that fat people can make fun of fat people cos they too are fat. it is the skinny people that cannot tell fat jokes cos they are incriminating...

just like racist jokes... i am aboriginal and i tell aboriginal jokes and that's ok. if a white person tells a black joke the black people get offended. get my drift...

i hear that bonds are looking to sponsor North next year DW, you won't have any excuses then...

Stewie's missus is based primarily in Sydney, hence the move up there when he retired from Hawthorn again.
