I heard today that people from Onky have been to see T.V. A few times this year and will be there again this weekend, hope there pockets are deep...

On the coaching side there not much to choose from..Nairnes has resigned, rogers gone, and the rest r not worth chasing !!![/quote]

Rogers gone?? Who was he coaching BF?

I would think Brett James would be up there in the coaching stakes in Country Div. But don't think he'd be looking at any Hills Central Clubs.

Perhaps Maccy's Simon Johnson to coach Mt.Barker or Onkas

Who are the big tips for the mail medal in each division this year ? Surely some one from the top 4 as they have dominated this year. What are peoples thoughts ?

I doubt it will be top 4 - I expect the chief will take it. The bloke may not have played the whole season and IB may have only won 5 games, but no one has dominated the league as he has this season. In my post-game beers with the Umps they have let slip that he was BOG in games we lost. Believe we even grabbed the top 2 against Uris on the weekend.

Chief has not had competition for votes from other IB players whereas top 4 clubs will each have several blokes attracting votes.

Not saying it's a certainty, but if I was a betting man I know where my money would be.

Gigney for mine. 100 goals in the minor round and won't have a lot of team mates taking votes off him; plus he stands out being about 6ft6' tall and having a nude nut.
Bradley, Nunan and Klun will be around the mark as well. Easily the standout players at their clubs.
Uri's, Lofty & Hahndorf are relatively even teams and don't have a standout player as such. Perhaps Tim Martin, Daniel Roberts or Bartemucci (who will poll well early) could go close but I'd say it is unlikely.

S. McCormick, A. Roche, J. Sidebottom, T. Edwards and P. Magarey would all take votes from him.

And don't forget Gigney generally plays one out in the goal square, so needs to kick a bag each week. Roche and Magarey would have had plenty more of the footy and umps notice possessons.

if that is correct surely the raiders would be disappointed seeing Tim played in a jnr colts flag with the club.

1. Uraidla will need to capitalise on this year cos' next year they will be looking for a new coach, already agreed to coaching else where, plus several of their big imports are heading to a high profile Amateur club starting with B and ending with w. Russell won 4 Magereys they will win 3 Eberts.
2. Onkas are chasing Geddes as their coach for 2010 while Echungas A grade coach may yet move to a Central club.
3. One central club has already started the rape and pillage of T/V for season 2010, the high profile players come as a package and want to play quality football next year.
There is a start...what do you know about any of this.

Can tell you with 100% confidence geddes wont be coaching anywhere.

You are probably spot on Toot toot, but in all honesty, surely coaching the raiders would have to be the most heartbreaking coaching gig going around?

With finals this week - are all teams at full strength ? Any major injuries or outs ? Maybe Hahndorf could declare they have seven out now, rather than when they lose name drop all the outs as excuses.

tips for the weekend
sat we have hahndorf getting over the woods with ease and i reckon cabbage gettin the win in the ressies.
sunday a pointless match with the winner set to be smashed the following week anyway, mt lofty will win this however but there lack of attacking options will see them pull up short come deeper into september.
b grade devils to beat the pies with ease, the devils best shot at a flag you would think is the reserves.

Have too agree, can't see a top 4 team player getting it. Chief would have to be favourite especially with his presence on the ground and its impossible for the umpires not too notice him.

My dark horse would be Andrew Kirwin from onkas, he's been in their best like 13 or 14 times this year and with only Klun, Smith and maybe Tanner taking some votes he'll poll very well especially in their 9 wins this year plus some of their close losses.
