SA 2nd XI v QAS

Postby am Bays » Wed Oct 04, 2006 11:33 pm

Our boys declared @ 1/358 75 runs behind the QAS on 1st innings and have them 3/173 at the end of day 3.

The good news is that Cullen bailey smahed 120 of 159 balls in a tick under 3 hrs coming in at 1st drop. He has taken 7 wickets wickets for 180 for the match of 54 overs.....

Tod Plant got 156 red inks,

I wonder if M Buchannen is a relation in the QAS team, John Buchannen was in the NT for the primary schools excahnge in 2003 watching a son play......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I was looking at the Scorecard and would suggest that Cullen Bailey may even have come in as a Nightwatchman and gone on to make that score.
In his few 1stXl apperances he has been used as Nightwatchman atleast once.

After being 2/162 junior backs are now 6/199 in teh last session of the game.

A draw methinks is coming up. Tom Plant has backed up with a 73 in the 2nd dig but unfortunately his dismissal on 162 has sparked the mini collapse.

Another decent score for the boy and he could be in line for the first shield game.

Puts real pressure on for the opening spot Deitz/Elliott/Plant and Blewett. Deitz could be spared if Choco's foot doesnt come up right he would get the keeping gig

Michael must be an elder brother of the lad (Nicholas) that was in Darwin in 2003 as he's 23. Either that or he was a slow learner at school.
