Barossa gave South a run for their money. Looking at the score South only had a 3 goal lead and the 3 quarter break. Not sure about the South team but I was told Barossa had a number of good players out.

GC's game went the was we thought it would go.

Nuri got back on track and played they way they did 3-4 weeks ago. From the way they played Nuri have hit top speed at the right time? It was a great game to be at. Nuri have a great running game.

Yes the underated donnybrooks keep themselves alive and have a sniff of playing finals footy, 2 tough games in a row so it may come down to the last round if results go as they should.

Other went as planned.

Not sure how you can say Nuri have hit top speed they only beat kapunda after losing to bar and will in the previous 2 weeks. Your obviously a nuri fan.

I am not a Nuri fan, I see different game's each week. I am just saying the way Nuri played very very very good. I was not because Kapunda were bad Nuri just had their team all ready to go and they all played a great game.
If I see it I say it.

Nuri certainly did play well and beat Kapunda like a top four side should. I agree with Pinchy though, hard to say that they're an in-form side at the moment having lost to two sides placed lower than them the previous two weekends.
Safe to say that GC and SG will finish top 2 but who is everyone tipping for 3rd and 4th?

wfc 16pts - SG/GC/Ang/Bar
nuri 16pts - tan/bye/free/SG
ffc 16pts - kap/tan/nuri/bye
bar 14pts - GC/Ang/bye/wfc

Could go anyway at this stage big month of footy coming up in this grade.

I'll put my beak out there and say it will be wfc & nuri to make up the top four.

everything that has been said about the players is true and i will do my best to stop this silly football that we seem to be playing and i apologise for any one that got seriously hurt from this, but we need to remember that it is football not netball, people do get hit and people do get angry and i know freeling are clearly the worst for this by along way and i have to see it each week but every other club cant say that they dont do it either.

What happened to the good ol days when a big shot young kid would be welcomed to senior footy with a test of his manhood by a huge bump, tackle, shirt front or clip around the ear?! If these young freeling boys are sooooo bloody hard to handle simply tell your boysto play hard relentless footy. Im not talking about matching fire with fire, Im talking about showing them up. We're all blood and bone, teach young lads to stand up for themselves correctly - it builds character and respect.

PLAY ON!

Time to look at this weeks games

Willaston vs South Gawler : I am thinking game of the week. If you have nothing to do this Saturday then get to this game. South are a good side but Willaston are playing some bloody good football. My pick South by a nose.

Barossa District vs Gawler Central : Barossa have played some good games in the last few weeks but I just don't think they have what it takes to get over GC. GC by 5 goals.

Kapunda vs Freeling : Freeling need this to play finals and they will come away with the money on this one. Freeling by 6 goals

Tanunda vs Nuriootpa : Nuri have to the best game this week. They are a team that is looking to play finals and they will want a very big win to help with %. Nuir by 10 goals.
If I see it I say it.

Agree with all of those. Margin in the South v Kappy game will be a fair bit more than 10 goals though.

Team Plyd Won Lost Draw For Agnst Pts % M/R
Gawler Central 14 12 2 0 1378 379 24 78.43 85.71
South Gawler 14 11 3 0 1174 467 22 71.54 78.57
Freeling 15 10 5 0 968 748 20 56.41 66.67
Nuriootpa 14 9 5 0 953 702 18 57.58 64.29
Willaston 14 8 6 0 859 827 16 50.95 57.14
Barossa District 15 7 8 0 966 805 14 54.55 46.67
Angaston 14 3 11 0 518 1196 6 30.22 21.43
Kapunda 14 3 11 0 310 1294 6 19.33 21.43
Tanunda 14 1 13 0 449 1157 2 27.96 7.14

Very interesting comp
Barossas shock loss to Angaston sees their season over
Gawler Central 28
South Gawler play Tanunda and nuri 2 wins 26
Nuri play Freeling and South
Freeling play nuri
Willaston play angaston and barossa 2 wins 20
Nuri must beat freeling this week to play finals given they will lose to South in last game if that happens it will be down to percentage between the 3 teams on 20. So Willaston will need a big win against Angaston this week to keep them in the hunt.
Prediction
Central 28
South 26
Freeling 22
Willaston 20
Nuri 18
WE ARE GONE

The week that was on footy Round 16

GC showed Willaston how to play. From what my ears have been told Willaston played a dirty game.

Ango stopped the bulldogs from going into the finals hunt. With the bulldogs only playing 1 quarter of footy didn't help.

Freeling are in fine form with their win over Tanunda (just in time for finals). Freeling played a good game and didn't drop a quarter.

Final 4 for me is:
GC
South
Freeling
Nuri
If I see it I say it.

Barossa missed out because of 3 games.
1. the first time they played Freeling. The game could of been theirs but the mid-field didn't do the work and Max D (Freeling) ran free.

2. The Kapunda game at Kapunda, They let a win pass them by, to go from a 24 goal win in the first game to a lose the 2nd time around.

3. The last game, Ango played a good game but if Barossa played more than 1 quarter then they would be still in the hunt for a finals spot.
If they got these 3 games then they would be in the finals with out a doubt. Just what I saw or from what I have been told.
If I see it I say it.

i saw you post on the BLG forum. Somethings I want to ask. You said about the footy Director quitting WHY did he quit?
I belevie the BDFC president is finishing at the end of the year. So you don't need to worry about that.
I do think that what Nelson was left with, he did his best. I also beleive that the bulldogs still had 2 imports that couldn't be taken so that would make it hard for nelson.

As you are a member of the club did you see all the games in the 2003 2004 season when thay didn't win a game?
Will you still be a member next year?
Are you a suporter of the club or the coach?
If I see it I say it.

No sure why he quit, I still see him around the club. But not sure..Glad the president is going, Thanks for nothing......I stood in the bay most games since Grant Coffee coached, I am a member, I am one of many who aren't happy with the events of the past three weeks......
