He is a better keeper than we have seen in the past 18 months but he needs to find his form soon. He is letting the side down with his sloppy work. Thankfully from his point of view he is in form with the bat. That can only work for so long though as his job is to keep wickets first.

I wrote after the away South Africa tour that Haddin's keeping is one of our biggest worries and i still believe that is the case even while watching some of this terrible bowling. His keeping today and in the last 12 months has been average at best and it needs to be fixed and fixed quickly. Thank god he is in form with the bat like you said, His footwork his sloppy and when he has to cover any ground he looks pretty ordinary, Those byes he let pass in the first session were pretty embarrassing IMO.

As for MJ today, well he seems to be falling into some of his old habits which is not good for Australia at all, Some of the rubbish he has dished up in the last 3 innings is unnacceptable from our "best bowler".

I fully agree. His job is to keep wickets and unless he improves this in a hurry he should be in trouble. He needs to be good at his number one job and right now he is pretty ordinary at it.

God he is having a dead set shocker (Haddin)

Cook 91* and looking in total control and here comes Johnson to try and redeem himself.

Great, Mitchell Johnson's being brought back on  I'd prefer they pull Andrew Symonds out of a bar in the middle of a 6 month bender before Johnson to bowl at the moment. As i speak his first ball goes for 4 and his second (another long hop outside off) just gets cut off

Broke a 83 year old record.

Probably should give some credit to the Poms. Whilst they have a very friendly batting deck and some awful bowling they have still had to make the runs and they have done so with no fuss and very efficiently. You couldn't ask any more of them to be honest if you were a dirty Pom.

Cook goes for 95 LBW Johnson. Cook pretty unlucky cos that's just about the first ball that has been on the stumps all day.

I was about to say this should be MJs last over but he did what he had too do. Interesting to see how Bopara handles this situation. Very hard to dismiss after a start but should not get one even when we are bowling like this.

And well batted Cook.

Runs flowing, Strauss into the 90's.

I think i have seen enough for the night, Might get some zzz's after Strauss gets his 100 or gets out.

Well actually when Bopara comes out and starts slapping us about from the get go then i have definately seen enough.

Well bowled Hilfy.

Bopara is a spud. Bell is a much better cricketer and surely the English selectors will realise this soon.
