To answer MM's question: Last time United missed the finals was 2003 from memory. They also missed in 2001. Interestingly both years Travis Opitz had a year off.
Either side of that United:
1993 2nd
1994 2nd
1995 1st
1996 2nd
1997 3rd
1998 2nd
1999 2nd
2000 2nd
2001 -
2002 1st
2003 -
2004 3rd
2005 4th
2006 4th
2007 2nd
2008 3rd
2009 ? .... may still play a part yet (currently 4th)!

Pigsy says a lot of Bridesmaid results there. Nothing to sprout about in a 7 team comp 8)

Yeah Patto is still playing. He hurt his knee first game but has been playing the last 3-4 weeks. I'm guessing he would have been a sore boy yesterday and today cause he had to back up and play A's after big Will pulled out. To top it off he was on dishes duty as well. Sucked in Patto!!!

Good to hear. IMO you should always strive to play at the highest level possible no matter of your talents. Some people like myself this might only be A Grade footy, but the more talented people this should be association/zone. The really talented people like your good self Donkey this would include playing at league level. ;) Young Ned fits this category.

Fantastic to see Two Wells giving him the couragement he needs as they do with all of their many talented youngsters they posess.

From all reports he did well - Laird had a chat to him which he was pleased about - Two Wells also had young 17 yr old Hooper in the same game for the Eagles.
