The obvious but interesting question to ask the West rep is what happened with our attitude against Sturt and what did Andy Collins do to change things around this week.

is it to hard to have both team reps on line at the same time, really is a bit ordinary to speak to one bloke then nick him off, then speak to the other bloke, nick him off, then do a summary.

It would be nice if there was someone in the studio who was at the match, to ask the hard questions or give rewards to the players that deserve them, instead of having second hand info or just second guessing.

I enjoy the program all the same, it just needs to make improvements (like all footy teams have to)

Thanks for the feedback Subpol.

I should add these are my personal thoughts (not those of fiveaa).

I can best answer by providing a bit of background as to how the show is put together.

It is always the PLAN to interview two at the same time .... however it requires both reps to answer when we ring.

I should add this is the 3rd call the person receives to do the interview (one about a day out to organise and one about five minutes out to confirm will be on soon). Accross eight sides thats 24 calls in total.

In the case of both games played today we had three people who didn't answer when it was time to go on, not a total surpise when doing a 5.30pm show it often clashes with Sunday presentations.

Being live radio we couldn't just wait so we went with what we had. In the case of the Port v South game we had Jason Torney but no Magpie so we interviewed Jason first. Thankfully for Port fans Daniel Elstone then answered when we rang a few minutes later & so we then interviewed him. At the end of the day we got the perspective of every club, not exactly what we would have liked but given what we can and cant control I'm not sure what to do to change.

Trust me when we have both answering their phone ready to go we will do the interview together as you prefer.

As for not having someone at every game I personally would LOVE to see it happen, it means I could get a gig every week rather than when Zac has other commitments. However I can't see it happening as fiveaa will always run with a two person panel with the show and even though I saw two games it would be nigh impossible to cover four.

For the record in the 40 minutes between signing off at Prospect and going to air in Hindmarsh Square I did take five minutes out of my travelling time to talk directly with a well respected independant source who was working at Alberton today. He confirmed some of the things I had heard down the line and added a few other things I did not know. Secondhand yes, guessing no.

That's why we were able to ask about Clay's post game address on the field and Jasons injury in the 3rd quarter. We even took on board the questions on this site re Clay's furture. (Although the captain may not be the best person to ask about the future of the coach we did try southee.)

I hope this puts the show in some sort of perspective.

I should add thanks to all those who left questions for us to ask, we covered most of them in some form (bar the North away jumpers Go Raw, I gave that enough of a bashing last week).

Next time I am on, whenever that my be, I'll do my best to solicit some questions from you again.

Cheers

If you want the players on at the same time, wouldnt it be easier to grab an injured player from both teams as they might not be as involved in after match duties etc. and would still be able to convey the plans and clubs thoughts from the day.

I thought an injured player was the obvious choice ?? I think that giving supporters an opportunity to ask questions is a great idea, well done. Have you thought of allowing supporters a chance to call in and speak to the players ? If you know what time the players are on we could call in and wait . Just a thought.

Thanks PhilH, thats a good explanation and I accept the difficulties that go with it, I know that you do the best you can with the limits set upon you and the other broadcasters, the other thing that need to happen and that is to get the SANFL and the Clubs to play ball as well, its in their best interests to be a more active part in it as well, you know, they want the crowds, they want the exposure, then they have to be a bit more co-operative as well

Dont let them get to you mate.
