If your playing 15's at Broadies there's 11 from Blacks, Fitzroys under 11's have 9 from Blacks, waiting on a NEMJFA ruling atm, nobodys 100% sure what the hells going on.

Not really luv :?

Look here's what happened at a school here...a kid shows syptoms, they shut the school, vacinate were necessary, take sensible precautions and have the kids kept at home...ok one or two kids that did get sick probably had a pretty miserable time of it but it doesn't seem to have become a big deal...one week later the school reopens and they're back to normal.

:) Not so much confidence as not allowing the media scaremongering tactics to get to me.

Here have a look at this map that shows the spread so far...ok it's 41 countries but most are just a handful of people...and 10,000+ might seem like a lot at first but the world population is about 7 billion so it's a minute number especially when you consider that most practically live on top of each other in big towns and sities...after two months thats a tiny number of cases really.

From NEMJFA

''All games in the NEMJFA have been cancelled due to Swine flu and the large number of players who come from the Black Friars school and play in several clubs within the NEMJFA.
Legal advice has been taken and we will be in contact with the Health department for further advice about when training should resume.
Players health and safety must be paramount in this situation.
I will advise all clubs when I have further information.
Please make sure all your Coaches and committee are aware of the situation. Thank you all for your support and patience in this situation and hopefully we can resume the competition soon''
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

I can't claim ownership of this one - I came across it on another site:
A bear, a lion and a pig meet in the forest.
The bear said, “If I roar in the forests of North America , the entire forest is shivering with fear.”
The Lion said, “If I roar on the great plains of Africa , the entire savannah is shivering with fear.”
The pig said, ”Big deal. I only have to cough, and the entire planet sh*ts itself.”

Now a pandemic...well done Aussies...you must be so proud...sheesh why is it you can't control the things you bring in from outside, rabbits, cane toads, flu ;)

Seriously though just getting in before the someone starts the 'Flu Part II: The Revenge' posts...calling it a pandemic hasn't really changed anything...still the same virus it was yesterday...hopefully this might help put some minds to rest and I'm sure if you do a search you'll find similar info on an Aussie site too as opposed to the usual tabliod terrorism.

At least it gives me an excuse to not start working again until Spring - I've never liked getting up on cold dark winter mornings.
[Yes, JAS, in the UK I'd need a very good heating system and a bright light on a timer to come on and hour before wakey time.]

Yes it is sad...but as the news report says he had other medical problems so no different to the other non-Mexican deaths...

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/stor ... 82,00.html

So it was ok to joke while it was other nationalities dying??? Don't be too surprised if the jokes doing the rounds increase...'gallows humour'...people have always done that, it's how they cope with things like this.

Speaking of hysteria over a 'flu.....

By the way 500,000 people a year die from common flu. Lucky that's not a pandemic.
