Should be a cracker of a game this Friday night. Can Norwood remain top of the ladder

Heading down for this game, love to watch from Coopers Hill on a Friday night. Should be a cracker of a game, hope the roosters can come through.

Yeah Im leaning toward North just, but I certainly rate our chances higher than recent previous Friday night meetings against the Roosters .. Should give a fair indication of where both sides are at.

Will be tough for North given we will have 3 outs again this week but we may get Wade Thompson back with a bit of luck whilst Rodan goes to the Power in his place! Although with Burgoyne and Cassisi out Rodan would be a cert for a return in any case. I wonder if Healy will rush Gallman in to take Sporn's place (or at least play him off the bench)?

Norwood are a real top 3 chance this year and will be hard to beat on their home deck although our Friday night record is pretty good in recent years at Nwd.

Should be a great game in any case.

Typical North arrogance. :D

Norwood's much vaunted midfield ( (c) 1984) will be sorely tested this week in the absence of Campbell, Trotter along with the three Power players in Thomas, Rodan and possibly Lower. North have one of the taller forward lines going around and we have one of the shortest defences so we'll need to win the rucks and midfield to stand a chance. Sadly for us Cain Ackland is playing so there's probably no point in even turning up.

And just for Punky I'll be wearing my Arch Nemesis outfit which consists of sandals, a grande latte with a book about refugee rights under my skivvy clad arm.

Can't wait.

No arrogance - it will be tough for us! I assuming you are taking the proverbial?

I reckon that's a fair assumption mate .. I get the feeling this game could be decided by less than 3 goals either way, not really sure why, but something in my gut suggests it (maybe it's just the dodgy Noodles I ate).

Yes, the quality talls in the North Adelaide team is a concern to me, as it will be for Trevor Hill.

If those guys fire, I think North will win, but if the Norwood midfield can get on top and provide Vlatko, Rowe, etc enough of the ball, then Norwood can get over the line.

Who's going to win? Stuffed if I know, ask me after the game :)

If it's raining Norwood by 28 points, if it's dry Norwood by 40+.

Norwood to win and remain top of the ladder until Centrals win on friday... I really can't wait for the Norwood vs CDFC game, should be a cracker!

North = shaky, a win against PAMFC = not a lot

I have tipped Norwood in my slaughters.

Personally i think North are really average skill wise, too many players burn the ball to often, the main culprits been Ryswyk, Stribling, Archard and Allen, they are all very very talented ball winners but their entries inside 50 are terrible. On the small parade oval pinpoint accuracy is crucial and i think this is where North will struggle.

Norwood will more than likely lose Rodan to the power which will definately hurt but i think they have a few guys they can run through the midfield. Norwood are up and running at the moment and on there home deck should be very hard to beat. They finished above North last season and i think they have improved their squad moreso than North this season.

Also can North find a nice balance which can have White, Alleway and Stewart all in the forward line at the same time, If they can thats without doubt the best tall forward trio in the competition IMHO.

Norwood by 22pts.

I agree that North burn the ball too often (the Port game last week was a very good example of that) but Ryswyk and Archard I feel are 2 of our better disposers (is that a word?). If we were playing a better side on Saturday we would have been punished hard for the way we gave up the ball frequently. If Norwood are going to be a top side this year they will expose this Friday night by capitalising on our skills errors.

whufc, White has been playing CHB leaving Alleway and Stewart in the forward lines with cameos from Ackland.
Both sides have a few outs but Im confident of a North victory ;) ;)

Throw in Ben Schwarze as well and that adds another quality tall forward to the North forward line...
