Yep, and several times for bloody football injuries

A Mum wrote:I had to ring once when....
My husband, myself in the car, with the 3 kids then aged 4, 6, 9 were backing into my mother-in-laws driveway at Christie Downs, when this guy comes sceaming/running down the road and taps on my husbands window and says "Help, Help, Help there's a guy with a gun chasing me"![]()
My husbands window was only down about 4cm and so instinct obviously told him not to wind it down any further.
Within seconds there was a guy standing about 5 metres away pointing the gun at this guy, direct line of fire was us![]()
Thinking of our safety I just said to my husband "Drive off" "Drive off" !!
My husband feeling really bad says "Sorry mate" and we drive off.
Immediately I phone 000 to report whats happening and we go around the block.
The police were there literally in 5 minutes tops, they were expceptionally fast !!
We then drove back to my mother-in-laws and the police came to the house 'when it was all over'.
The guy being chased had been 'beaten' and it was all over drugs !!!
Was extremely scary, and although looking back seems mean to have driven off from the guy in need,
but there was no way I was putting my kids in any kind of danger by hanging around !!

Now i think if you call 911 it goes to the police station too coz kids watch a lot of american tv and see 911 all the time.
