IF they catch these bastards, they should be slowly burnt in a horrific, painful and traumatic fire. But they shouldn't die, burn them so they are almost dead, then let them live normal day life.

Think you may find this is the single biggest disaster ever to happen to Australia. Even the Bali bombings did'nt have this fatality rate to Australians. Words really can not describe how I and i'm sure others feel......

75 people lost their lives in Ash Wednesday. 47 in Victoria & 28 in SA.

These fires are similar i.e hot & windy, and a wind change to fan the flames into another direction....

65 confirmed, but reliable speculation on the news says it looks like triple figures may be the toll this time tomorrow.

Can recall from Ash Wednesday in'83 - a guy from SE Sth Oz lost his wife & 4 kids in the fire. How do you cope with that?

Just heard that as well.
They also said he has a 'large' family.
I hope that the family has been notified before they 'blurted' it out all over the news.

I am currently writing a university thesis on Bushfires. Ash Wednesday also had a prolonged drought leading up to the event in 82/83. Statistics show that You can expect a major event every 20 to 30 years.
