Carlton Draught: the best non-premium Vic beer. But that's only 'coz ever other non-premium Vic beer is undrinkable pisswater. The kind of beer you drink when there's nothing left in the fridge.

Corona: usually drunk with a lemon shoved into the neck. That's because this "beer" tastes like sparkling mineral water. Typically drunk by pretentious eff-wads at nightspots who suffer the illusion that posing with a lemon-enhanced beer will make them Cool. It won't. If I want a drink that tastes like lemons I'll drink lemonade.

West End Draught: the standard beer to which all other beers must be compared. 99 times out of 100 the comparison reads something like "beer X is superior to WED". Goes down well when swilled at the footy, provided it is not bought from a caravan. In every other conceivable social setting it rates alongside Stone's Green Ginger Wine.

This leaves us with the Coopers' Pale. All the rich flavour of the Coopers' sparkling ale, but considerably gentler on the psyche. Delicious, refreshing and South Aussie to boot.

The choice is straighforward.

They go down like lemonade - I can drink them all night and not get pi$$ed. A midnight change to Bundy & Coke always fixes the problem

The lemon or lime actually used to serve a purpose other than wank or taste
When the beer was brewed in Mexico years ago they would use local water which was, as with any 3rd world country's water, disgusting
The lemon was added before drinking as the acid in the lemon would kill the bacteria in the water and make the beer safe to drink.

Carlton Draught - Great off tap (but as you have it in a can = WEE)
Carona - A "beer" that suggests putting fruit in it = WEE
Coopers Pale Ale - Great beer = GREAT BEER
West End Draught - Average off tap (but as younhave it ina can = WEE)
