Para Dist V Adel Turf

Postby Rubbish Binny » Wed Jan 21, 2009 8:58 pm

I heard on the streets that Wayne We Dont Play On Hard Wicket Phillips is refusing to play us on our decks. Apparently they only play on turf as they are turf crickets. Can anyone confirm this.

It was PDCA's home game last season.....ATCA's this season. Dont see the issue ?

And I know from experience, it was always good to get on the turf decks while playing in the PDCA competition.
Is the PDCA side that disappointed to be playing on turf ?

I dont think it works that way Im sure it is Para Dist home game. Just think it is a different game on hard wicket v turf. I think the adel turf boys may struggle with the extra pace and bounce.

Well it would be interesting to see the PDCA boys face Warren Mitchell and Chad Parrish on hard wicket at full tilt.

I think the PDCA boys did face Warren Mitchell, Brooks, Illuminato and Ozolins last year on hard wicket at full tilt and PDCA got a victory!
Only Chad Parrish didnt play due to his first season in Adel Turf, but i reckon Chad Parrish played a few years ago for Central Districts (PDCA) and got three wickets in one game but struggled with the run ups on hard wicket in his two matches in PDCA.

Warren Mitchell bowled only 5 or 6 overs at half pace due to bowling 25 the day before. Knocked over Sewelly straight up.
Ozolins didn't bowl at all for the same reason. Although Brooks and Ozolins are hardly quick.

Illuminato got belted by Frackowski.

Are you sure about Chad Parrish playing for Centrals ? I remember Keith Hooker playing a few games and having problems with the run ups.

I believe the game is at Reynella Oval. Was a great cricket wicket last year (can't speak for this year as have not been there).

Would hardly call Brooks, Illuminato and Ozolins quick (sorry Oz) and I also dont remember Oz bowling last year in that game.

Will this game go ahead as ATCA Top Grades don't get called off unless SACA Seniors get called off. What is Para Districts ruling?

If the game gets called off does it get replayed or teams take a Draw out of it?
