The SANFL club in question has allegedly been active in supporting this player and the column in the paper suggests that the only reason the club is doing so is because they employed him in a hotel with TAB facilities where he allegedly lost a considerable sum of money.

To be honest i can't see why anyone cares. It's not like anyone has been involved in anything illegal. A person has a problem. They are getting help for that. Why people feel the need to throw rumours around so the public can make judgements about the person in question without knowing all the facts is beyond me.

It's not like anyone has been involved in anything illegal

So stealing money from your employer is not illegal.
Not too sure who you work for but it is where I work and every other place of employment too!

Now what are you alleging? That's a big call mate and one i'd leave out of a public forum if i were you.

I'm not alleging anything RR, you made the statement about nothing being illegal. Let me assure you, allegedly or otherwise, this person was found out and admitted it. Problem, yes on both fronts.

Why didn't I put my club in my profile, because I don't really follow one particular club, plus I wasn't aware it was a prerequisite of the sites rules and regulations.

Considering he's lived in Victoria for however many years Im not surprised.

Psyber - It's Ben (Hook) & Bec (someoneorother) who have a column in the Sunday Mail each week.

Rebecca Wilson is who you are after. She is the one who wrote a rather complimentary article on the state Soccer in this country after Adelaide United lost the ACL final

Pretty sure her stuff is syndicated.

The same column appears every week in The Sunday Teletrash as 'Bec & Buzz.'

Obviously Ben provides the local content...

now to the moral side of things, does embarrassing anyone hepl with their rehabilitation?
AFL players, we tend to cover up their sins, SANFL players tend to be ridiculed.

Nah, I'm pretty certain it's Bec as in everyone's favourite Rebecca, Wilson.
Hence much of the eastern state stuff, especially rugby, in the column.

its correct Page 50 of last Sunday's edition top left corner Ben Hook, Rebecca Wilson and Phil Rothfield. The Majority of it would be repeated in all News Ltd Sunday Papers and Ben Hook provides the local content
