In the mean time Eagles contracted Toia for two years when he became available we were unable to fit him in the salary cap, so he went to port mags. So it had GREAT credibility.

I feel a little bit sick reading that...

Old history I am afraid.
Better to look forward rather than back (did I just write that). If EHL is in fact correct what is happening at Unley players leaving and last years Coach moving to the AFL.MMMM Perhaps everything is not healthy at unley ;)
Way to deflect from Eagles ;)

Not necessarily. You're talking about him signing with the Eagles BEFORE coming to Adelaide. I'm talking about rumours about him defecting from Port and going to the Eagles, which as we all know didn't happen despite a few WWT people saying it was a big chance of happening.

That seems to be a common thing when a player wants more money from his club.Just look at that Norwood player at the end of 08 ;)

So did anyone head out to training last night. any new faces. we need another midfielder after we lost skippy. If we get westie back he will be a very handy half forward floating around.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Just on the training issue, Thebbie surface immaculate. The old bars under the stand no longer exist and have been replaced by offices. The maintenance person there told me that the council has either applied for or won a grant to do up the old stand which is heritage listed. Also, new fencing erected and other bits and pieces repaired. The council wants footy at the oval and the upgrading of lights is on the agenda as well.
Unlike some contributors who claim to have been at training but obviously haven't, this info is from the 'horses mouth' at the oval.

We've only got one match scheduled at Thebarton this year, I assume it's to do with the costs involved of staging a match there. Is there a way we can get another match there this year (say against Glenelg) with the councils help?
