i've noticed that todays scheduled gawler dogs meeting has been cancelled due to the heat, this is the right move putting the health & welfare of the athlete & patrons in front of $$$$$$$$$

i heard on the radio coming home from the cricket that the gawler dogs (tuesday) have been called off due to the heat etc

not good for jj's making money enterprises but the welfare of both patron & athlete it is the correct decision.............i know the meeting has been cancelled bar for 1 race but i wonder whether they could run it at night or as a early morning meeting even if they miss it as a tab meeting

ie start at 9am & finish by 11am

or

start at 8pm & finish by 10pm

Angle Park Wednesday races are Cancelled due to extreme heat.

Trials tonight at Angle Park cancelled.

Trials at Gawler Wednesday night to be decided tommorrow.

Will be interesting as to wether the Angle Park Thursday night meeting is also cancelled as the weather will remain the same up until friday. Common sense would say if its to hot to run trials in this heat then its to hot to race as well.
