And Nicholas is creaming himself over a cut from Katich. Was a ripper of a shot though.

He is carrying on a touch but a fine shot in yet another fine innings so far from the Kat. What a player, isn't that right REB :D ;)

Great fightback but we aren't out of it yet. Hopefully these two lads can go on with it, they are both super players.

All you blokes bagging Haydos. So he made 13 runs. 13 more than Punter or Huss.
Give me a ******* break.

Someone should tell Paul Harris that a couple of seagulls have taken a turd in his hair.

Clarke given a couple of lives just now, one nearly chopped onto the stumps and one in the air off Harris. Get the feeling his concentration has just dropped a touch even though he hasn't been quite striking them fluently full stop. Also on Harris - he's giving us more trouble than any of the others atm; good sign for Krazy?

Anyway, what another sh1tty start from our top order..... people already on Hayden's back saying he should be dropped and he's finished..... what about Ponting, Hussey and Symonds, they have scored no more than Hayden.

Hopefully Clarke and Katich can save us again and make a decent total.

He's the oldest in the team, that's why he's the first to turn to.

Who cares how old he is. If he's the best man for the job then he gets his spot and he is the best man for the job.

Too early to call for Hayden's head imo. He's struggling yes but he'd need to put in a few more poor performances before any heat would be on.

Half our batting line-up is struggling apart from Clarke and Katich, who have made good scores consistently.

you idiot ash......

That's not an unfair statement HOF.

Give me some stats of late to warrant him hanging around.

India - 8 innings @ 33
New Zealand 3 innings @ 10.67
Sth Africa @ 1 innings @ 12

Averaged about 25 in 11 innings. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

How can an average of 25 in your last 11 innings warrant your retention?
He has the second dig to redeem himself here.

Yes he has been sh1t, but so have Ponting and Symonds. Why should Hayden go and not these two? We have plenty of good middle order batsmen waiting to come in that are good enough to fill the boots of them two BUT we don't have many decent openers.......

Katich gone to...well it looked not out live but the umpire raised his finger straight away. Nothing short of a brilliant knock from the Kat.

Katich gone for 83. Not convinced it was out but he has to go.

Edit: looking at the replay it was out. Good decision from the umpire.

Okay, i'm as big a fan of Michael Clarke as anyone but that was just plain dumb. Absolutely unforgivable to get out like that just before tea

Just got home from a quick trip to the bottle-o and walk in to see Clarke's replay. Terrible shot. When I noticed Roy at the other end I realised we had managed to lose two wickets since I was gone.

Sh1t!. We were just getting on the top of them and BANG! we lose two quick wickets.

We will struggle to get to 250 now IMO.

Hate to say it but it's classic Michael Clarke. We lose a wicket, he goes for something ambitious as if trying to immediately snap the momentum back and it rarely comes off. He has cut a lot of this stuff out of his game in recent times but for mine his ability to pick the right approach at vital stages is still a clear weakness. It was a very good knock and without it we'd be in much bigger trouble than we are, but he could've had another ton today. -_-
