Im sure with Steve in control of the seniors he would be encouraging everyone to unite.By seasons end dont worry Steve will be in control of everything,he cant help him self "CONTROL FREAK".He could even teach Mick Malthouse how to coach, just ask him.

Postman...

As we are all well aware you have some kind of beef with Steve Hill :-s
Without meaning to be rude... and I know it's a forum and you can say whatever you like.... but do we have to keep hearing about it :-$

KP,

I'm pretty sure that Steve has mentioned getting the club 'together' more. So will be another aspect that I look forward to next season, lots of mingling, laughter and 'togetherness' sounds good.

:partyman:

O:)

A MUM i think its good to hear from Postman every now and again, hearing from this tool makes me realise how good my life really is !!!!!!

Good to see some footy again

After all the rumors and supposition since GF day on the 20th September
By the way that was only 7 weeks ago.
A lot has happened in that 7 weeks.....but if all the rumours had been true there would have been a lot more

Bring on the 2009 season

Those boys will get an invitation to South adelaide as well and hopefully they go well there and come back to McLaren as better players.

All clubs lose players and coaches to other clubs, it is a fact of life.

Mclaren will be doing everything possible to keep all players, and will continue to interview and chat one on one

Absolutely, and if they get an invitation to South and are successful that's fantastic, couldn't be more happy for them.

I know that all clubs lose players and coaches O:)... football is just not cut out for us mums I don't think ... (well this mum anyway)....lol.... you watch these boys grow up from primary school age and you become 'attached' to them

I'm sure that McLaren will be doing everything possible to keep them, and that's great.
And if they don't end up staying then we'll definitely put the time into the ones that do stay

Just was a little sad to read Mr T's post, that is all O:)

I hope some of these players arent getting carried away with their own self importance :x

The club have spoken to each of them already several times. The president (Polly) and coach (Steve) have all had meetings with them to tell them they are required players. They were invited to the "Meet the Coach" of which some of them turned up and they were told how important they are.
They have scheduled meetings with Steve this week to discuss their playing options and directions.. They have been told on numerous times that they are the future so Im not sure why they are contemplating going to a head case team like Aldinga where they will go out each week and get belted by the big 4 in the SFL fy 40 odd goals. That will be an experience they havent been used to while playing at McLaren Juniors :D
DO THESE GUYS WANT TO BE BEGGED TO PLAY :?

Thats an experience u only get with the seniors at Mclaren

To be honest if these kids want to leave and not be apart of a Mclarens resurgence under Hilly then thats their choice. Im sure theyve seen Mclarens junior success in the past few seasons not translate into senior success and surely if they rate themselves highly then stay on and change the clubs fortunes!!!! Hilly will bring ideas and structures that will point Mclarens in the right direction, my advice would be to stay at Mclarens.

I agree with BJ, but I played when it was an honor to wear the club jumper and you didnt need someone giving you a tummy rub to get you to play. If they want to play that game then let them go. We dont need precocious players at the club 8)

What are you talking about PR... I still am a young girl

No, but yes I do remember those days when wearing the club jumper was an honor and staying at the same club was a loyalty thing and you'd never even think about changing clubs...

And also how playing against your friends was more fun than playing with them.

So I do know what you're talking about O:)

C'mon mate I'm sure we've all got our pre conceptions about each other but I think you would be quite surprised at just how much the Club Culture has changed down our way. As for the 40 odd goals those days are gone I can assure you that.

I'm not sure as to why your players would contemplate leaving but maybe have a look at your own club before slinging that crap on us. Were trying to improve just like you guys, and yes it is a shame that young guys don't hold the same loyalty as to what some others may be acustomed too, but that's football.

Point taken Mr Fox :supz:
I have an allegiance to Aldinga and hope they improve and become super competitive, it just pisses me off that some of the McLaren juniors are threatening to go there for the wrong reasons. I don't think their hearts will be in it and you need passion and intensity as well as skill to succeed in todays footy environement. Im not sure the P&I will be there when you go to a different club.
Good luck to the sharks

Have been looking through my 'photo' archives

Found this one of last year when our junior colts played at AAMI stadium, they were the 'curtain raiser' for Port Power V Essendon.

Was a great experience for the boys.
