That's the great thing about a forum, we all have different points of view \:D/

As I said earlier, I know it happens, it's just sad when someone who has played all their juniors at a club and then leaves that club and goes elsewhere. :(

But in the end it's their own choice O:)

The grass is not always greener but :-k

The grass is not always greener but there aint no grass at Myponga Oval in August
It was a boghole when we played on August the 9th

Grass? What Grass Yetti? That oval is a disgrace.

what sort of relationship do the mclaren seniors have with the juniors? do they get along/socialise with them at the club on a saturday night?could this be leading the kids to look elsewhere?

Im sure with Steve in control of the seniors he would be encouraging everyone to unite.By seasons end dont worry Steve will be in control of everything,he cant help him self "CONTROL FREAK".He could even teach Mick Malthouse how to coach, just ask him.

Postman...

As we are all well aware you have some kind of beef with Steve Hill :-s
Without meaning to be rude... and I know it's a forum and you can say whatever you like.... but do we have to keep hearing about it :-$

KP,

I'm pretty sure that Steve has mentioned getting the club 'together' more. So will be another aspect that I look forward to next season, lots of mingling, laughter and 'togetherness' sounds good.

wouldn't have thought there would be too many pongy players at mclaren or vice versa.

think it narrows it down a little more than to just 2 teams

Just helping you out there ZC
What that post meant was that super star plays for either Mclaren or pongy as he played on that shit oval on the shittiest day for the year. therefor he must play for one of those 2 sides
Cheers

yes yetti, and as he has already stated that he has played for mclaren in the past I'm pretty sure I know which team it was.

what I was saying that their would only be 1 or 2 ex-eagles out at the mudlarks.

Welcome to the McLarens thread btw O:)

i personally dont see it as a cop out if young lads want to go off to other clubs to play with there mates, as if it was the other way mclaren would would be loving the numbs

and they wouldnt have a problem with it

i have to agree with superstar on this matter, i cant see the problem with someone leaving a club just to go play with there friends, yes they might enjoy it at the club coz they win a lot of there matches, but its not all about winning, some people enjoy there footy more when there playing with all there friends, winning to them is just a bonus on the side.

no comment, im just saying most people enjoy there footy more with mates, im not gunna argue, winning does feel good, but in my opinion some young footballers would prefer to share a win with some of there closest friends.

I've played in successful teams (3 losses for the year) and unsuccessful teams (no wins for the year) and there is nothing worse than getting smashed by over 10 goals week in week out, even if you are playing with a close group of mates. You may as well go and sit in the pub or watch from the sidelines with your mates if that is what matters to you.
