Well if Strath are low div 2 or up there in div 3, Willunga should have beaten them by 20 goals. There would be at least that much difference between that standard and div 1.

An eleven goal grand final victory, does that cut it? Agree to disagree, it's an argument that can never be settled as these teams will never play a competitive match for premiership points.

Very true, they should have and could have in my opinion. The difference between Div 1 and country is that Div 1 sides play div 1 sides each week. I watched a lot of Willunga games this year and in my opinion Willunga don't pull their fingers out and get serious until finals time (this may hurt them in years to come). If they played div 1 quality sides week in week out they would be a much better side.

Played on this Hirst bloke a couple times and he moves well and takes a gd grab. Might b a much better player in a gd side. Might have him mixed up with his brother?

It would be hard to mix them up after knowing and playing with them for 20 years!! They are both very good players, 2 totally different players but both very handy. If you are suggesting that L.Hirst is better than D.Hirst then maybe you are mistaken. Dustin has played 187 A Grade games and also captained the club might not get as many accolades because he is a defender but one of te most reliable players in the comp. Could be some arguments in the Hirst household tonight.

Ronald Rankine, played on the wing last season. Good hard footballer who played association for the GSFL last year. Went out to Encounter bay last season as he is cousins with their former coach, so may very well be looking for a new club next season.

Shane Mitchell definitely confirmed as head coach at Encounter, although some of the players still think it's Bassani!!!

Has also been selected in the State Indigenous Side. Quite handy.

I know these blokes very well, great blokes too! All live in town now so would make sense to find a new home. Just not sure about these talks of negotiations, hirst is a good size and should be able to play a forward line role but in Div 2 but doubt he would make a key position player like he was at times in country footy. The other two lads don't have much size to them at all and could find the going a bit tuff. One of the Saints best locals produces Sam Jones is 6ft3 solid as a rock and very athletic went and played Div 2 for Edwards town last year and was a average to lower rank player so be very interesting to see if these other guys are to give it a go how they will go. I guess it all depends what the quality of players you already have are, will you be a competitive side in 09?

Will they want them back TW after Ray's burst out sat night at the crown alot of people were running for cover and will want nothing to do with the Bays while things like that are going on!!

ray and owen both signed on for next year, think you will find sat night happened for a reason but the new coach will soon sort both these boys out. From what i have heard he doesnt put up with any shit and is a bit of a hard nut, just what these boys need.

I will remain quiet but some big signings to report on here, wont say anything yet but meetings have taken place just need signatures which i believe are happening this weekend, will keep you posted but there will be a couple of GSFL clubs devestated.

In what regard Cuzzy? Losing players to E Bay or because they are chasing the same players and will lose the race to get their signature?

Devistated because they will 'carve' other clubs up or devistated because they are from other clubs within the GSFL ??
