How do you know this SS? Have you taken a straw poll of everyone in your club, and determined each and everyones alias??

Honesty is the best policy - if your club is actively seeking players, be up front with it!! There is nothing wrong with trying to further your club!! Even if it does take a few dollars...

Don Brook - what about the Baker boys??

JD, yep agree on a few of those...

And as stated most may not be getting that amount but could request it if they were on the move...

Bakers a funny one, he may be getting that from Willaston, but Im not sure he's worth it, but thats another argument!

Had Leske in my original list but then took him off, quality player I agree, but not sure he could demand that amount, but its all purely speculation anyway...

Bevis is a great player, but seems to miss a fair bit of footy with small injuries, could he demand that amount from a club other than south, not sure, but definately a great player

Just what i've heard but other clubs have offered Aa Bevis in excess of $750 a game but his love for South Gawler and its inhabitants ensures he stays

I have also heard that a rival BLG club is making a concerted effort to secure the services of one Johnny Benson from South Gawler... South are reluctant to release him, given the exemplary Timberlake like dance moves that the guy can produce.... He will be looking to set the Kingston Hotel's dance floor alight this weekend...

Looks like your giving the game away then bp19, Newberry could demand what he likes after this year, premiership player, state player, runner-up mail medal(missed games due to rep sides). He is miles ahead of bevis in any form of the game, bevis is over and so are you!

Note: Even though they may, not all of these blokes would be on that coin...

Angaston:
Nil

Barossa:
M Steltzer
D Thomas (though his is wrapped up in his payment as Ass. Coach)

Freeling:
Nil

Gawler Centrals:
S Hahn
B Taylor

Kapunda:
B Taylor

Nuriootpa:
Nil

South Gawler:
A Bayliss

Tanunda:
M Greenwood
B Newberry
A Kennedy

Willaston:
Nil

Yet I know there are a handful of other players who THINK they should be able to demand that sort of cash!!

not a bad list LC, not all those guys are getting that but if they were on the market they could get it elsewhere, you missed D Leske from Freeling, C Mclean & S Baker from Will,Cragg Sapsford from Nuri, also Wells from Tan and Commane from BD could get huge coin if they chased it

3 Highest plaid players are Christie (Barossa) $700, S Hanh (GC) $700 plus some goal incentives & Crag Sapsford (Nuri) $700 - not too bad for a club that boast that they don't pay out too much money. Tanunda have 3 on about $500 to $600 but as someone has mentioned some of them will be demanding big dollars now. S Hahn with his goal incentives pretty well make him the highest paid player which has caused some grief at the doggy track.

JD you are wrong about Leske he recieves no match payment and I know that for a fact, only incentive awards for constantly getting BOG but he may get more next year if he travels to Adelaide?

Good to see GC and Brandt have left on good terms, the article in paper was a disgrace from the doggy track, absolutely bagged the ex coach perhaps GC should be looking at some internal issues other than soley blaming a coach that has done a pretty good job with that squad.

Skip, I never claimed Leske gets paid, in fact I'd be surprised if he was apart from b.o.g. awards etc but we're talking hypothetically in his case if he was on the market

Skip interesting the 3 you named there...

Can you confirm these figures or where you got them from...

Hahn 700 + goal incentives, at 98 goals for the season, fair pay packet!
Chrsitie surprises me a little, you would expect the couple of big mouths in the Dogs line-up would have their egos dented a little with that one...
Craig-Sappford, well that was 700 Nuri could have saved!!

But it would be nice if Skip could confirm how he came across these figures!!!

Kapunda are the ones chasing Milky.

Doggy Wenham has his hat in the ring.. if he could emulate what he did on the field in our golden days through our group we'd be a force to reckon with..

Does anyone know if Mike Teakle & Keith Jameison will keep their job on the Triple B FM radio show on saturday mornings?

My thought is we need some new blood like Sven Lindner or Paul Ryan to get involved, at least they can put two words together in a sentence, unlike Teakle.

Fair enough JD. LC got those figures from a coach in the league who does know, especially the Barossa, Nuri & Blockie payments. Christie is Barossa's VC and a gun, he is their highest paid player.

Edgar all i can say to you is that if they have been approached it has not been from anyone in an official capacity.

Like i said we don't have big coin, if we did we probably would be throwing it around but we don't and haven't had since i have been at the club.

We will be calling them that is for sure, but we haven't yet. I can't say anymore to get it through your obviously boof head.

Look after your own club whatever that may be.
