Sturt should win after finishing top 4 games clear, but after losing last week to Port by 4 points. I think that this game is too close to call.

Depends if the North superstars get going on the big oval. Tapscott, Johnston, Armstrong etc....
Sturt need a heap of goals from O'Sullivan and Harms to win.

You wouldnt think Sturt would only lose 1 minor round game (by 1 pt)and then go out in straight sets.

They were celebrating very early last week, so lets hope they play 4 full quarters this week.

Johnson was very quiey last week, can't see him having 2 quiet games in a row.

North to win and win comfortably, 27 points

Johnson v Johnston should be a great battle.

Armstrong, Tapscott and Co. should be to strong for O'Malley and Co

North has has to many class players not to get over the line.

To twist a popular phrase the team of champions will beat the champion team.

I've heard that Sturt has "dropped" Jack Trengove back to U/17s this week. Big in if so.

agree that would be a huge in.

Their midfield certainly need an injection of talent if they are going to win.

Huge risk leaving him out of the under 19's unless they dont think he is good enough for under 19's

Why would you think they need an injection of talent in the middle when they lost only 1 minor round game and were clearly the outstanding side in the competition? Is this based solely on the result of last week's game?

It's all the SANFL's fault.

why after one loss.

well I have actually thought it all year in that if they have a week link it is in the centre square. Sturt have a great all round team but they do not have star talent in the centre square that North or Port do.

Sturt are very good at converting entries into the forward 50 into scoreboard pressure.

Probably also stems from the fact that i have now seen sturt four times this year for a four goal win coming from behind, a 4 point win coming from behind, a 60 point thrashing and a four point loss last week. so even though they have dominated the win loss ratio I dont think they have actually dominated the competition.

Ones perpective is coloured by the games I have seen.

Sturt kicked the 1st 8 goals of the game and were about 50 points up 5 mins into the 2nd 1/4. North made too many basic skill errors, alot under very little pressure buit fought back well and at one stage got back within 23 points until Sturt kicked away. Plenty of talent out there for both clubs and Sturt well and truly deserved the victory

As has been said Sturt jumped out of the blocks to kill the game rather early allthough north worked their way back into the contest before sturt put the game away.

Tapscott and Armstrong struggled to touch the ball in the first quarter, Trengove dominated the first quarter and was very good all day. Johnson and Johnston had a very good dual all day, Lewis won the Battle but did not dominate like he has a number of games this year.

From where I sat sturt didn't really have any brilliant players outside of Trengove but they all did their job and took the chances when they got the ball in the forward line. They were able to get deeper entries inside the forward 50 which gave their forwards greater oppurtunity to create. Harvey for North deserves a special mention as he did and number of very good things against the flow.

All in all a very good game to watch.
