HV coming of a week break which IMO means no advantage for HV, amater footy is not elite competition. HV are up and down team looking thru their results, r1 thumped heccies then next week lost to WC, WOS beat hopevalley both times in minor round then lost in the 1st final. Havent really taken much note of HV when i saw them play but i think they lack fast midfielders and rely on their big 4wards. WOS are coming off 2 good wins, i would say the best coach team in Div 6, i think Conway might do a bit of coaching out there, against heccies heard him yelling at player where they shuold of been, but WOS ruckmen love to smak the ball 4ward but against CLG didnt do it that much. WOS biggest weakness is when teams start getting goals against them they come in large amounts. They gave up 7 goal lead in 1st final and gave up about a 5 goal lead against CLG.
Playing at campletown is a 5 goal advantage for WOS, hv dont play well on big ground, WOS will be to fast and fit. I think wos will win by 10 goals, hopevally to be up at 1st qu, halftime will be a couple goals either way, and WOS to be up by 5 goals at 3/4.
However it is a gf against 2nd and 3rd so anything can happen, .

Both these clubs' last Grand Final appearance in the A Grade didn't end well, although for Hope Valley it would be a bit more fresh in their memories. Many of the Westminster lads would have still been in school when their club won Division 7 in 2000, which may have been the inspiration behind them donning the green and white. Tomorrow brings one more chance for the ultimate prize. The opportunity knocks heavily on their club doors.
FC's magic fingers did the job on Gould. He comes in to the Demons' team along with Charlton. Mclaughlin and Stark come out, but count themselves lucky in that they will still be playing for a premiership in the Reserves. Tough decisions were made at Dragon land, Mclean and Spencer being omitted for Easton and Wigg. Some good inclusions for both sides.
Another juicy midfield battle awaits. The consistency of Hope Valley's is its strength. Led by their tough-as-nails skipper Ward, the likes of Moon and Gower have stood up when needed. They have many options for rotation, throwing in Gould, Pepper, Luke Hann for short stints could prove invaluable on a warm day. Westminster will have an edge in leg speed, Warburton, Marshall and Tan all have vital roles to play, although the latter has a habit of going missing. Easton and Allen will get a run in the centre as well. There are players from both sides who will put their bodies on the line and the first ten minutes could see some heavy clashes. Any early injuries will be a spanner in the works for either coach's rotation plans.
The forward/defence match-ups will provide some good contests. Coming off a great game last week, Stephen Hayes will probably get the job on Jimmy Hann who will have the strength, but not the mobility in that contest. Hoffman or Staunton will be likely to get the important job on Conway, whose marking power and accuracy at goals have been a feature. I reckon Scott Clay will line-up on Ferris and he'll shut him out too.
From personal experience I think the week's rest will be more good than bad for Hope Valley. Westminster looked tired at times against CLG and come the last quarter tomorrow they will be feeling the pinch under the afternoon sun. It is important for them that they have a good start, which they have done in all three finals, but vital that they maintain any lead, especially coming into the last change. If they fall three or four goals behind, they will expend a lot of energy just getting back to level pegging. Hope Valley will know this, so even if they don't get a jump on their opposition, they will keep coming and coming at Westminster with fresh legs.
If Westminster go missing for a quarter or two it will be all over for them. They have the class to win the game, but can they stay focused? Hope Valley have consistency and flexibility on their side. I think they will wear Westminster down and win by 15 points.
Good luck to all teams on Saturday. Make your club proud!!

What about the initial coach that West Croydon had, didn't he guide his team to victory over the favourites for the premiership.

No, he just guided himself over to the favourites for the premiership
