Yes Hafey, another question- Who do you think we will end up playing in the Grand Final Barossa or Central?

Why do half wits come on football boards, copy what other people say, then think they are clever?

So now you're copying what I think as well.

Come up with something original Hafey. How about an insight into 1970s B grade football?

You really crack me up hafey! for someone who thinks they are so clever, don't you think you should learn how to spell buffoon before you use it in a sentence trying to put someone else down

Hafey, all I know is that you have commented on players in div 3 and the BLGL and got it wrong both times. You also thought Ivan Silvy was a full back. Did Port Districts' B grade win a premiership or two?

Barossa Districts will win this weekend.

The obvious weak link is in there coaching department but they do have a much better list on paper and have finals experience on there side.

Congratulations to Brad Taylor on winning the medal , a deserved winner. I had a bit to do with Brad in his younger days at Norwood and the knowledge i was able to pass down onto him has helped him blossom into the player he is today.

Hafey, don't get pissed off just because you're a moron, you seem to suffer from small man syndrome seeing as you feel the need to attack others all the time, perhaps you can start talking about the game rather than trying to draw attention to yourself.

Nice work Hafey either a lucky guess or your finger is really on the pulse, not too many people were predicting that down at tigerland. Its a just reward for the our man Brad "The Mask" Taylor who keeps defying the odds.

I wonder if Occonnor will be there on saturday to give Nelson a hand now that his Kilburn side are out of September action?

I'm going to back in the GC tigers this weekend. Barossa ran out of legs on Sat and with GC having the weeks break and some warm weather to contend with GC may just have enough to run out the game. Barossa have a better list but the weather and the break for me.

Good Tipping B&S in one of the tightest counts I have seen for a long time. If anyone on this site went; what did they think of Sheedy. About 5th time I've heard (hird) him and he was very different! Can't quite put my finger on it or what, why & I'm a Bomber since the great #10 coached a flag back in '62.

skipper wrote:Sunbowler couple of questions. Are GC a chance to upset Barossa this week? Barossa seem to run out of legs as the game went on and the Blockies probably should have won by more. GC with the week off and probably pretty confident I don't think we can't rule them out.

You are in the know with league rules, should have Barossa's reserve's been disqualified for playing a non qualified player in the 1st semi? It would appear to me that the rules here are fairly clear and they should be but I'm sure you know the rules better than me. Nuri are fairly dark about the fine imposed and believe Barossa should have been disqualified.

I think they are, but Barossa will be prepared. If GC can make some of the Bulldog stars chase their possessions they are with a chance. If Barossa get to play their own game they will probably lose in a shootout. Some of their big names didn't play well against Tanunda and some of their lesser known played alright. Same could be said for Tanunda and between both teams I reckon there was about $1500 in match payments that wasn't earnt. It might not matter as I think the Magpies have another gear and have got over their biggest hurdle in this game. Barossa have at least one too many talls and could have done with Polkinghorne and Sibbick, but even then the mighty Quinn still would have slipped under the radar.

The situation in the B's first semi has become murky when it shouldn't have. If Nuri had discovered it on Saturday and protested immediately I believe that the match would have had to be reversed. The BLG only discovered it later in the week and sent a please explain to Barossa. Probably an honest mistake as I can't believe anyone would risk it if they knew the rules. Apparently the NRFC found out through a Netball contact on Thursday morning!!! All the clubs received official notification on Friday however I can't believe the size of the fine. More irony is that I think it was Nuri who proposed the amendment which allowed the BLG to impose a fine. All the info is on the BLG data website so all three parties had no excuses re the knowledge. I bet more will now check it and as I have found out when surfing it the odd curly one does pop up during the season. The whole thing would have been avoided if the BLG had sent each B Grade finalist a list of eligible players, however there is only so much ZOK can do. Some increased funding from further up the food chain to provide admin support wouldn't go astray. The upshot is Nobby won't be sending Adam Fiegert any Xmas cards and Dave Gerhardy has taken Nobby off his list!!!

Why do the winners of the 1st Semi (Gawler Central) get a weeks break before the prelim? Surely that's not fair to the team who finishes 1st/2nd and loses the 2nd Semi (Barossa)? Can't they just play both the semis on the same weekend?

It used to saturday/sunday semi finals onyl a few years ago (in 2002???). Dont knwo why they changed it as it worked quite well... as mentioned it probably has to do with increasing cash flow...

Tex - It would make to much sense to do it like that. I think that the winner of the 2nd semi should be the only team to get a weeks break (Tanunda). Even then it is only an advantage having a week off if you need to rest injuries, other than that the team can loose momentum having a week off. Go back to Sat & Sun finals.

Agreed. Surely that's the fairest way to do it, and the league would still get almost the same amount of people through the gate over the two days anyway wouldn't they?

Strilo, Can you confirm that Niklaus is not playing this weekend as he has gone oversea with the Mrs. Heard that he had it booked for a while and told Brant I am off best of luck.......... Seems hard to believe I know but i have had it from a few sources.

South Gawler and the Bunyip have had a big fall out regarding the sh#t article about the reappointment of Herzic,
An interesting letter from South Gawler doing the rounds, tend to agree with the lions. Norman had been writing
made up articles for a while just doesn't understand the effects it has on clubs..... would like to see all clubs join together to ensure he is made accountable.

Heard same thing about Niklaus from another source
I know that Norman was warned by the Bunyip last year for writing stories with no truth to it
What was said ???????
He probably listens to his mate The GOOSE at Kapunda to much who has no crediability either
