Couldn't have said it better myself.

Didn't mean anything like that at all, you can't expect a coach to walk in to a side with a history like aldinga and take them from not winning a game to finals. It would be like giving dean bailey the flick at melbourne, they might still be bottom of the ladder but he has improved the club out of sight!

Hi Trojan  , was with Tommy Sex at the Richmond/Melbourne game sunday, think Melbourne need a little more improvement, although Richmond overachieved this season taking out 9th spot AGAIN, The Sledge got a call as game finished to remind him and his 'Thumbprint' brother they should have been there listening to the song at the MCG! Even had Stuey McCallum there too, he was amazed planes didn't still have propellers btw

Just on Lynchy.
Agree with Trojan, those at the club pre-Lynchy hadn't won a game for 3 years (A Grade). Whatever you think of the guy personally or his coaching I don't think he deserves some of the stuff written on here, especially as it hasn't been confirmed he has the Hackham job, which in itself would be bizarre in my opinion. Those who didn't support him please leave it be, he has stood down, you got what you wanted. Also like to thank Amanda Lynch for her efforts especially the beach ramp and social functions this year.

Cheers Backliner,
After playing a season without a win, when you look on the season you'd give ya left one to be able to sing the song with the boys, just once!

Well said Backliner,he deserves some credit and not all coaches are loved by everyone at their club.He got them wins and made a significant improvement on the playing performances.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Congrats to Liam Shrive on winning the best & fairest this year.

How'd everyone pull up from prezzo night? Steady and I had a bit of a late one but we had a good time. It was great to catch up with everyone. From what I heard (what I remember, anyway :drinkers: ) things are looking very promising for Aldinga next year. We're looking forward to sticking around and being a part of it. Go Sharks!!!

Well sledge they aren't going to play elsewhere, dallas and biglands are both retired, and you would probably know more than anyone on what brice is doing, what job is he going for? Also I think talbot has gone back to phos where he came from to play b grade...

Quote:

From 1985 through to 1998 Dunstall was Hawthorn's spearhead.

He kicked 1254 goals, led the Hawks goalkicking in 12 seasons, captained the club, won four best-and-fairests and was a top-four finisher in the Brownlow Medal on four occasions.

It was a career of the highest order, a priceless legacy for the Hawks.

But six years after he stopped playing, in driving the appointment of Clarkson at the end of that tumultuous 2004 year, Dunstall's legacy for the club may yet be somehow enhanced.
End Quote

Would be nice to have more past players still involved at the club, their input could be valuable to the club such as the above statement.

I'd expect Rodney would know about the coaching situation, not far off I've heard.

Think Lynchy has moved on tbh, heard he may be coaching a different club anyway, in the amatuers.
