Lost & other Yank Series 2 shows

Postby Wedgie » Sat May 27, 2006 11:45 pm

I just finished watching the end of Series 2 of Lost and I couldn't recommend more highly to people to not even bother with any of the 2nd series.
You just keep going around in circles and nothing really happens.
I can't believe I spent 24 X 45 mins watching that show over the last couple of months!

PS Also ended up watching the series finale of Desperate Housewives for Series 2, quite entertaining. Neither however compares to Battlestar Galactica Series 2.
Also watched all 24 episodes of Mile High Series 2 (from the UK) which was an awesome show but its now finished which is depressing. Now I'm heading onto Prison Break, haven't caught any yet but I've got about 22 episodes of that to watch, lucky for me I can watch TV epsidoes on my Nokia N70 on the bus which helps.

PPS Trailer Park Boys is still the best show on TV, can't wait for the movie in a few weeks!

Have now quite a collection of those myself now.
Funniest ever shot I've seen is the one where Ricky defends himself in court.
Series 3 Episode 3.

btw, how many series are available in the box sets over here ?

Agreed about that episode being a classic, the swearing and smoking is funny as hell.
I've only got Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD but I have everything else on DivX (downloaded).
I haven't been searching for a while but will do soon, I think Series 6 has just ended or is close to it, Ive got 6 of those and there's a movie out in Canada soon.
Have you seen the episode when J-Roc gets caught having a yank?
Funny as bugger, especially the rhyme he puts together at the end of it.

Lost is... a test of patience.
Just when you think a story thread is gonna get resolved, the writers shift focus onto something else.
As long as it rates in the US, they'll keep stretching things out.
After having watched the season closing eps last night, I'm still interested to see what 'the others' are actually up to.

Battlestar should be great when it returns later in the year.

The new season of '24' has been and gone in the US, but hasn't screened here at all yet...
I'm a fan and rate it as the best one to date.

Also a fan of Nip/Tuck and new eps of that are out soon.

Haven't seen TPB, but for me the funniest show I watch is Family Guy.
Wickedly funny!

Bit harsh on Lost I reakon - I thought the last eps had lots of juicy twists and turns. But I know what you mean - after a whole season we're pretty much back at the start. You'll be watching series 3...don't kid yourself

The only good part about Series 2 Lost was where they left it as you're hanging to see what happens next.
I've talked others I know not into watching Series 2 as a good service to them.
