The lads gave it their best shot for Beefa, we were even after the first quarter and held them in the third quarter, but they went boonta for the first half of the second quarter, kicked eight goals in the space of twelve minutes, and they kicked away in the last. WOS were good, but not brilliant, for me the current top four will make up the final top four but you'll have a fairly even fight amongst yourselves for respective positions. And all the talk on WOS has focused on O'Hara (he's fat by the way), but they've managed to get a few other very handy players.

As for us, we know we haven't been able to fully replace many key players who've left in the last eighteen months, still thought we could cover bases though, but it's exposing a lack of depth, particularly when money has been a powerful recruiting tool elsewhere. We're reassessing some areas and will try some different things, give some promising kids a go and see where that takes us.

WOS still rely heavily on warburton to get the job done week in week out. he is the key to them winning or losing.

Wouldn't say that, he barely played out of the middle, just slutted around in the forward line most of the day and picked up the easy ball. I reckon he kicked five or six in the last quarter anyway.

Pretty harsh there Quichey, Warburton is a harder player than most, I guess it was a bit of a luxury to have him up forward for the last quarter but to say he slutted all day is inaccurate.

Golden Grove's b grade is still a 2 goal better side than Hope Valley (last years margin in the GF). They have kicked 97 goals so far this year, we've only kicked 95!! Just love little quirky stats like that in footy... :)

He's hard to match up on, but not a hard player. Doesn't play for hard ball gets, never see him on the bottom of the pack or putting his head over the ball. A good player nevertheless, agile and a smart footballer. And I would say he did play most of the game in the forward line, bar a couple of short stints in the guts.

I think I have gone 5 from 5 for the two weeks since I started tipping (fair bit better than my AFL tipping!) see if i can go clean sweep again..

brahma v houghton - Brahma on the back of a competitive performance against Trinity away - 1 goal
hope valley V colonel light - cracker game, home ground tips it in HV favour - 3 goals
glenunga v trinity - Glenunga to finally break the duck on their home deck, they have been more competitive than the ladder suggests - 2 goals
westminster v hectorville - no comment, no margin
lockleys v west croydon - Lockleys are a bit of a sleeper, results are starting to suggest that they will be around the mark - 6 goals

Neither would I, but I wouldn't say he was a hardnut either.

The point I was making out of all this was that he floated around their forward line most of the day. Smart forwards know where to be when a handball is dished out from a tackle or bottom of pack or when the ball spills from a marking contest.
