Sorry about that ZC. You're profound knowledge of the game overwhelms me sometimes.
Anyway Mex if I may call you Mex. I was at the game yesterday and Zaluski to me only appeared to stop Farrier because the Reynella player has been battling the flu in the past week?

Nice diagnosis Ex Diver, or should that be Ex Doctor? A good bloke Fazz, but if symptoms of the flu include:
- not getting a kick
- being outmarked
- being run off
then yep poor Fazz has the flu alright. Infact if he managed to spread the flu on to some of the Morphies boys then that would be his only damaging act of the game!

Then he was more damaging than Butcher.

It seems that Butcher is the same in all matchs they say that last week against Cove he just hanged out the back and out on the boundry getting easy kicks. Some joked that he may had even jumped the fence blended with the crowd and jumped back when an easy kick was on for him haha.

Havent heard or seen much of Wood and Mensforth either for League footballers last year they should be a step ahead still of most players in this league or is that just the state of West Adeliade ATM if their back in the pack with most SFL players (No disrespect many quality footballers).

What was the final margin in that game to anyone?

Wood and Mensforth did not have much of an impact, haven't seen their names in the best players so far this year either, Moore was OK...

10 goals.

I read that the best players for Hackam on the weekend were the 3 Kelly boys... are they making a difference at the hawks or not?

Reynella played Cove in a Qually last year. McKeough kicked five. In the previous year the Wineflies smashed Port in the Qually with Milo dominating. He can play big games alright, Its just that Morphies right now seem to know how to control him.
If mrf is still looking for the score, Morphett 18-14. Reynella 9-9

Theres no doubt Milo can turn it on. But with average supply and a quality opponent he was never a chance yesterday. Sounds like the same story for him against Cove. Think he got moved round the ball in the last but by then it was too late to have any real impact.

I think the concern for Reynella would be that if Milo doesnt fire then they have no-one to kick any goals.

maybe what reynella need is a harder player in the middle. With Mvale winning the rucks and having some quality onballers maybe a hard man is needed?
Sounds as if morphies are to strong. Strength wise. Throw in some guys with a bit of grunt to unsettle the opposition?
not saying milo is the player to do this but something obviously has to change. Mvale smash em every time they play.
not that ive seen them play. Just thought id throw that one in there!!??
Any thoughts?

Is it me or has the whole comp just got boring...?
after all the hype in the pre season with some recruiting by the challengers I would have thought some one would have challenged the Emu's.

Mex any impending internal disaster you can forsee to shake them up so we can see another team win?

Reynella will finsih in the top 6 in A's, b's and 18's, don't think there is any doubt there, but whether or not any of them will be a premiership threat is another question. They definately need to get their sh*t together.

I'm hearing the players aren't all that happy with Evans. Seems a little unsettled down there at winefly park.

Fortunately its only round 3 KD. I wouldnt write the season off just yet. the emus look invincible at the moment but injuries, form or the team getting ahead of themselves could all result in an upset at any stage. Cove appear to be playing some good footy at the moment as well so their game against the emus should be a blockbuster in a few weeks.

Without having seen them in the flesh but rather going on what i've heard and seen in the paper shoes, twisties, hackham, aldinga and christies all appear to have improved to some degree which is only a good thing for the comp.

Lets not talk too soon...they have Lonsdale this week

Although Lonsdale were the only team to be leading Morphies at half time last season

If that is the case, Evans has gone down another notch in my book (he's well into the minuses). Dave has been a good player for years and of what i saw of these recuits sunday he would have put up a much better effort against the emus. Its guys like pressy that need to be playing, guys with the passion 4 the black and white that will do anything to see their club succeed.

Having said that if he was going to leave he wouldn't play against Reynella in the SFL and has a couple of good mates up at Roo land.

I spoke to Dave last season whilst watching Reynella play Brighton in the Prelim and he was pretty annoyed that he wasnt playing A grade then! Daves a good solid player, naturally fit and is hard as so with all being said on here its exactly what Reynella needed. Kangys have picked up a good player if this is the case. Along with Pannach who is up there at kangys also!! (another Reynella boy)

Saw the game.... Scott was fantastic.... Marking everything that came his way....

The Kelly Gang are obviously making a difference.....

The main thing that is different at the Hawks is the fact that the players respect Scott as a coach and are doing what is asked of them on and off the track!

Of course, extra players are always welcome.... The club is slowly pulling itself out of the $hit.... Things are definately looking up.... I know it is only early and the Hawks have only played The Sharks, The Shoes and The Lions, but the proof is on the scoreboard!

An example from last season :

Lonsdale B Grade beat Hackham by 23 goals
Lonsdale A Grade beat Hackham by 43 goals

This season.....

Hackham B Grade was 4 goals up at 3 qtr time, only to run out of legs and match ended in a draw!
Hackham A Grade was in front at half time.... Ended up losing by 25 pts due to some brain fades resulting in 50m penalties

Things are looking good.... But obviously the big tests are still to come.... No-one is expecting miracles, but the right steps are being taken!
Go you Hawks!
