I've heard from the Marion boys that he will be playing at Marion this season, so that's unfortunate for TB if they were actually in the running for him.

Tailem probably wouldn't have had enough points to recruit him anyway.

If its accurate and up to date, it confirms some of their losses as Shiell, Gerhardy, Sayers, Sumner, Waite (no doubt will still be a chance to return this season), and Dreckow.

INs include Garrett, Girdham (Kadina), Kain Tonkin (key forward) and Josh Charles (ruck/kpp) and Baillie.

Is that the same Josh Charles that has previously been playing with Walpeup/Underbool GWW? If so a very good pick up! He would not come cheap though...

Yeah that would be him F.A. Seems like a very handy player from all reports. Was about equal 4th in the B&F for that comp and can play ruck as well as push fwd for a few goals. Should definitely help out the Imperials in the ruck position.

results from the weekend:

imps lost to loxton? by 1-2 goal
mypo beat nairne by 10 goal

unsure of what sides were full strength or what though

havnt heard of the other teams results. anyone?

also heard during the week that James Smith is hoping to play the season at Mannum. supposedly the redbacks are allowing him to play? if so it will be a massive boost for the roos and will only further the strength of the competition in the top 5.

its shaping up to be a great year in the RMFL

On the Hills country thread it said Mypo kicked 27 goals to 19 to Nairne. Sounds like Mypo could have some firepower this year.

This should be the most even competition for years, although in saying that the main 3 of Jervois, Imps and Ramblers will be favourites for the top 3 positions again. Mypo could be the real wildcard.

GWW it also looks like pretty weak in defence if a D2 SIDE that didnt make the finals can kick 19goals against the tigers ?

Jervois played Myponga in a 6 quarter game. The A grade team played the first three quarters and were up by 5 or 6 goals before the B grade team came on. Myponga still had a lot of their A grade players on for the whole game due to low numbers and the Jervois boys got up by a couple of goals in the end. Jervois still have about 5 A grade players to come back into the team and from what I believe Myponga had a couple out as well. Good hit out for both teams.

had a chat to a couple of blokes this morning and supposedly mypo had their FB and CHB out, as well as 3 or 4 of their key onballers, so maybe it wasnt too bad a result?
will be interesting to see after a couple of rounds in anyway.
looks as though the bluds are getting into some good form early. will be a good game to watch round 1, GF rematch. where is it being played?

anyway care to put in their tips for this week?
