He is a tank, but has unbelievably good skills and can find the football.

Alex played B Grade at the Units this year, has some mates out there. The youngest brother Mitchell is still with us, but I don't know if Christian would leave South. He and Herzick are very good mates and get along really well, I couldn't really see him leaving. And I assume Kennedy will still be there as well.

On baller that played mainly reserves for West this year. Played a couple of league games towards the end of the season and finished 3rd in the reserves B&F. I haven't heard if he has signed with South Gawler, but if he has it would be a handy pickup for them as they are in need of a couple of decent on ballers.

I would have thought South already have decent on-ballers like the Bevis brothers, Coombs, Rimmer, Makris, Johnston...another one couldnt hurt though, especially one of hi scalibre

Souths midfield doesnt get anywhere near the midfield units of the better teams eg. Barossa, Freeling,Tanunda and Willaston.

Tanunda might struggle next year with Taylor and Newberry trying their luck at league clubs and the rumours suggets if they leave so will Greenwood...that is only a rumour though

Where will Greenwood go?

Kaesler to stay at the Maggies. Did he have much of an impact this season?

And Newberry was at Glenelg previous to that!!

Played a season at PHOSC in the amateurs in 2000.

Also had virtually committed to a Vic Country club for '07 before signing with Tanunda.

More clubs than Greg Norman!!!!

Final Import numbers for 2008

Angaston and Freeling 5
South and Barossa 4
the rest 3

total imports in the BLG comp for 2008 = 33.
Big drop

Why did Gawler Centrals get less than South if they finished below them? I still don't understand how this system works... :?

The import rule is based on past perfomances as well as postion finished the past year. Centrals have been consistent finals team over the past 5 years and south have not so i'm guessing that is the reason.

also heardthat South started pre-season last night...i this early or normal??

2008 would be the best chance for Freeling to win a grand final with
2 import players in 07 now being locals in 08
having the most imports with 5 players in 08
