Not a biggy but is it absolutely necessary for folks to refer to Sam Konstas as a 'kid'? He's a 19-year-old man who is playing professional cricket, for Australia. Just my view.

100%

Also do want to see when he gets out tomorrow he puts the head down and walk off. All good have the chat, the banter, get right in the fight. Once your out though head down and off you go whether you hit 10 or 100

Come on now. He might have been one to have the balls to tell Warner to piss off with the sandpaper.

I reckon if Konstas was in Bancroft’s position, he would have held it up and told everyone.

I wouldn’t read too much into it, he’s 19 and then next oldest is 30, whilst his opening partner is 38.

So in that context …

Agree 100%.

I can’t see how he could succeed, but who knows, maybe he’s as good as he thinks.

If there was a Swans like No Dickhead Policy, then he would have never been selected.

The positive is that the selectors have been criticised for not being brave enough and making tough decisions, and now that they have, we probably shouldn’t shoot them down straight away.

You coach a footy team yeh? You’d be happy for one your guys to poke the opposition for no reason when you’re 5 in front and doing it easy ?

What was to be gained by doing that in the last over of the day, when the oppo were down?

The only significant thing that could happen did, and he looked stupid now because of it. So why do it?

Watching the Uzi dismissal again, why was he jumping to a ball that was pitched up?

What a stupid thing to say.

Remember the Curtly Ambrose and Dean Jones interaction over a wrist band. That didn’t end well from the Australians.

Remember poking the bear doesn’t always mean the bear performs better. Pressure doesn’t always mean someone will perform worse.

If one of my footballers wants to poke the bear, his performance better raise and secondly he better not shirk a contest when they come for him. On the other hand if he pokes the bear and that footballer loses the plot then we know a way we can get to him.

Also keep in mind the Indians tried to physically intimidate him in his first test. Also remembering the verbals started from the Indians losing the plot at Khawaja for time wasting. His a young kid not taking a backward step. Don’t be racist, don’t bring others family into it, don’t bring sexuality or religion into it. Live and die by the sword.

Khawaja C Rahul B Bumrah 2
Now a different perspective
If Rahul drops the catch
Do we then say Samball Konstas got under the Indians skin and flustered them enough for that fielder to drop that catch ?
