He bowled well, the haters can gefugged.

Yes, this. I see ' he has to go' as soon as he doesn't take a wicket in any given innings, even when he has only bowled a few overs.

Keeping India in the field for 5 sessions at the start of the Test paid off as they were absolutely stuffed by the 3rd session at the back end of the Test.

Gavaskar squealing like a stuck pig again regarding the 2 DRS decisions that went against the Indians, both of which were clearly out.

So he was unhappy that Jaiswal was given out when the ball deviated 5 degrees after hitting his bat but seemingly OK with the non LBW call that had (according to DRS) 49% of the ball hitting the stumps.

At least Sharma quite rightly was questioning the failure of snicko on Jaiswal’s dismissal whilst conceding that it looked like he hit it.

Whilst on snicko …

Warren Brennan, whose company BBG Sports operates Snicko, explained why there was no spike as the ball appeared to move past Yashasvi Jaiswal’s glove.

“That was one of the glance shots where there isn’t any noise so Snicko shows nothing only ambient noise,” Brennan told this masthead.

“I checked with the audio director and he said there was no noise either. Probably only Hot Spot could have resolved that one.”

I thought both CA and BCCI agreed not to use it, one for cost (they pay Fox or whoever) and two because apparently it's not reliable

The BCCI vice-president doesn’t know how to spell his player’s names …

“Clearly not out”

BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla took to X to claim Jaiswal was clearly not out. “Yashaswi jayaswal (sic) was clearly not out. Third umpire should have taken note of what technology was suggesting. While over ruling field umpire third umpire should have solid reasons,” Shukla wrote.

The solid reason is that the ball deviated when it his bat … cue Spelly’s graphic

Cry me a river. :-*
