I must have misread what the graphic was on Fox.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Won't be enough, this has choke written all over it.

Not sure what it is but over the past few years our intensity seems to drop 10-15% per day, we take a stranglehold on many matches but we can drop our heads very quickly when things don't go our way.

I can only recall us digging ourselves out of a hole once in recent history, that was the Cummins/Lyon partnership @ Edgbaston.

I could be wrong but we've let more slip than we've come back from, I hope I'm wrong on this occasion but we're neither here nor there atm.

Where to with Konstas? Dazzled them in his first innings, they clogged his holes up in the 2nd dig, I love seeing the kids getting a gig but I do feel that he's a little ahead of himself. He has played one more test than I have so far though, I hope he makes the grade, he can if he uses the the field settings to his advantage moving forward.

The simple answer is, its the age of our team. Its not easy backing up 5 days in a row in your mid 30s
I think Konstas did look to toy with them in the 2nd innings by taking short singles into gaps created by the deep fielders. I think he has the smarts to make it.
Hot Take- are we making Bumrah look just that little bit better because our batsman are so bad. The stat about more false shots than any other Test is troubling on this wicket. Dont gte me wrong his bowlng today has been outstanding but this is probably as weak as we have been since the mid 80's

The age factor is an interesting take, regardless of fitness level it would have to take it's toll in your 30's, I remember being quite fit in my early 20's and backing it up again the following day seemed a fair slog, especially coming on for a 2nd spell.

Konstas seemed like he wanted to unleash in the 2nd but wasn't able to, although it was a cracking delivery that got him out it is one that you would be expecting to have to face as an opener against that calibre, I think he'll have an easier time of it in Sri Lanka.

Fair analysis, our bowling has been our saviour for some time now, our batting has dropped off over recent years.

Go the slap FFS, we're a bit short anyway, we may as well have as many overs at them this evening as possible, tonight is our only hope.

If we drop this series some serious questions need to be asked and heads have to roll and that includes coaching staff and selectors. The last two days have been absolutely abysmal and shouldn’t be tolerated

Far too many 2nd rate shield cricketers are in charge of the Australian set up, we need to get former Test cricketers involved, but theyre all commentating
