Never been to Pirate Life, but I can see that changing in the very near future....

Went there for the first time on Friday as I can only get 500ml cans direct.
Absolute shit hole, didn't even bother having a beer there.
But if you like a big shed with a cement floor full of wankers on wooden benches it might appeal.

You didn't want to have a beer while getting hair cut?

Nup, actually had a hair cut 20 minutes earlier. I don't know if Pirate Life could have handled a no 1 all over, too fancy. [emoji38]
Can't handle it anymore.....that space has been turned into a private function room for a while now!

When you’d get abused more by the scoreboard attendant than the crowd.

When you used to get $1, then $2 pasties outside the gate behind the scoreboard.

When I used to have a brawl with my Port loving arsehole brother.

When footy was real footy and the crowds were real crowds.

I’d almost kill to get back to those days.

100% Agree.
How good were those $1 pasties.
3 of those walking to the train station after a dozen cans was the highlight!

The bloke after the game with warwicks covered in hessian behind the northern gate at The Bay was “Pilko’s” pasties IIRC, he then went out to Globe Derby Park that night.

How good was it playing and/or watching footy on Saturday arvo then heading to Globe Derby that night for the trotters before heading to Joplin’s in the city at midnight.
