Pre-Season

Welcome Hoggsters to Hogg Division I for season 2024. Autoinvites have been sent out to coaches who participated last year but if you have been using an ancient email you wouldn't have gotten squat. The code for this league is 101396. The following teams are invited to join the league.

Happy Hogging in 2024! I have no idea who some of you are so hopefully you are reading this Digby... :D

Still waiting on @Q. Before You and Buckets. This could be a sixteen team this year with no relegation if both teams don't nominate by the Feb 22 deadline. If one joins then we promote a divvy II side to make the eighteen.

tick tock..

btw still hoping the other two teams join. Don't really want to lose two good teams. Closing the league is more about keeping randoms out, not keeping regulars out. talk to me boys.

Heya REB

Sorry for the late withdrawal, but I'm officially retiring from Supercoach. Between work, family and a flourishing powerlifting career, I just don't have the time to do this properly. Thankyou for running this all these years and adding another layer of enjoyment to the greatest sport in the world.

Cub’s Petracca’s Picnic is the surprise leader after round one of Divvy I action after wycblood was spilt in a flogging of epic proportions. Divvy I overall didn’t quite score to the expected standard but in this regard, bloods has excelled himself. Top of the class was Jays Jocks but a solid scoring effort by the Cowpokes as well. In the unlucky losers class Chops Clots and Jims TigerRoos pretty stiff to get done with 2100 on the board but spare a thought for Divvy I newcomer Herbs’N’Spices who lost by a point in his debut at this level. After all the luck Herb got last season this is a good sign for humanity.

16 Richo Richo Man 0 2 3991 4217 94.64 0

While the Indians are usually top of teepee around here, this season some Cowpokes have ridden into town and have hogtied Divvy I with a bout of heavy scoring that left the rest of the Hogg behind. A massive 2124 was more than enough to ensure that Coro didn’t creep in as the pokes lead the stampeding pack behind them. PorterGuns shot down Petracca’s Picnic after the cubman got out to a massive lead but the Guns gradually hauled in the Picnic who was cursing Short and Rosey at the close of play. HeadButters scored well and remained unbeaten while wycbloods joined the competition a week late to smash his brother Richo which sent the man to the bottom of the ladder. Pooly also had a high scoring win in a match that shows Jims Tiges aren’t great swimmers. Highly ranked Zed, Clots and Slothy haven’t fired a shot yet with Herb opening his account with in yet another close one for the Spices.

16 Jims TigerRoos 0 3 5711 5942 94.64 0

The Indians were one of many top sides in Division I to flex their muscles over Easter after they made light work of a suspect Jays Jocks combination. ZedForce and Petracca’s had a classic contest as two sides with almost the same team faced off with Zed falling over the line with a ten point victory. Richo Richo opened his account with a comfortable victory over PorterGuns while Pool Swimmers and Coromandel Creeps consolidated their top eight spots with high scoring wins. The Cowpokes had the day off and won while HeadButters had the day off and didn’t. Slothy opened their account while Clots didn’t and it hasn’t taken long for the wheat and the chaff to get sorted. Indians already looking the team to beat but we thought that last year.

Petracca’s Picnic made a strong statement with a sensational come from behind victory over the ladder leading Indians, a team that very rarely drops minor round games. The Cubman is well and truly up for it this season and the Picnic are a team to be reckoned with. Pooly is going all right as well. A comfortable win, also against top eight opposition sees him right up there with Indians now as the Alaskas had a bit of a swing and a miss weekend with the pokes and creeps both getting rolled. It was a return to form for HeadButters and Chops are continuing to build but it was the ongoing sorry tale as far as Slothy and wycbloods are concerned.

Round 6 saw a number of struggling teams rediscover their best form to post important victories. HeadButters and PorterGuns had lost their way a bit in recent weeks but bounced back strongly with scores over 2000 which most of this league could not manage. The Indians saw off a strong challenge from Richo but gave up top spot to Pool Swimmers who made light work of the Cowpokes. Slothy was another team who has been really battling but they got their mojo back as they trounced a suspect Coropmandel Creeps who badly need a win now as they start to fall down the ladder. Speaking of not much love for Herb and wycbloods as neither side is scoring or winning…but no relegation lads so all good.
