Twilight flaggy back 9

Started ok with a bogey. Pw flew a little further than I expected.
From there I used irons off the tee, mainly 6i.
Used a tee and pushed it right after that just hit them off the ground and hit them quite well.
17points 44 off stick, that would have been handy last sat

2 jugs bought for the boys for getting under 10, only win I had was it was happy hour and $20 jugs.

Nothing exciting to report. Had 23pts. Picked on a few holes where I could have salvaged a point out of frustration.

Mt Osmond this morning
its always a pleasure,

Driver was pretty solid aside from 2 poor ones and another where I overshot the fairway but the connection was solid.
Irons were ok
Short game could have been better. Left chips short and putting was inconsistent as the greens are slower than flaggy. Just too scared to hit them
One wipe on the par 3 16th. Found the front bunker and caught the lip on way out... so just picked up.
34pts

18 on front and 16 back

Par

Actually like this and seemingly in the minority it seems.

Started off with 2 halves and then just couldn't get anything going.
Ended up-8

Twilight

The Driver deserted me.. somehow started par, par.
The highlight was finding a Bunker on 7th on the dam side.
Hit it and saw it run up the face and held my hand out to catch it.... instead it went over my head and trickled into the dam

14pts to go with 17 last week

51 and 12 points on Tuesday night, horrible ball striking all night, only highlight was salvaging a par on the 8th after drive finished in front of 13th green. Go again tonight with zero expectations.

Just worked out in my last 4 rounds Ive scratched the first hole everytime, maybe a warm up tonight might be in order!

Par

First hole scrambled beautifully for a half after a poor drive.
2nd toey hook with driver and another half.
Hit a great drive on 4th into fairway bunker which is easy to get out.
After that the Driver wasn't overly useful

Hit a majestic 7i to about a foot and a half on the 7th. Not far from flam dunking. Birdie made.

After 9 was all square.
Back 9 started like a Roller-coaster with a wipe and a plus (birdie)
Onto 12th, 6i comes out. Can't trust driver.. and then did what Tiger did with a shank.... almost salvaged a half.
13th lovely 8i on green and then just a rush of blood and over Hit putt then missed the par putt and picked up l, did have a putt for a half but didn't deserve it after 1st putt.
15th used the baffler off the tee and worked a treat, albeit on the rough down the right the connection was superb. Left 120 In and just ran a little 6i onto green and 2 putt par from 20m
17th, baffler again and got in a good spot. Just wanted another little runner along the tree line.... nope, pushed it into trees.... twice
18th used the baffler 3 times and twice it delivered.

-2 for the day.
Better than -8 Wednesday. 2 birdies but a woeful driver and putting exhibition

Sunday morning at flaggy for stroke.

Started off ok.
Salvaged a Par from putting the drive in trees on left.
2nd hole great sand save for Par. Holed a decent length putt.
3 putted 3rd hole.
Par on the 4th.

Travelling beautifully.

Then on the 5th I went to tap in for a 5 by reaching past the flag to drag it back and missed.
Then the game just fell apart out of annoyance.
On the 8th greenside bunker in 3. Then it goes into the hazard. Messed about for a while, lost count and gave myself a 14...
Had a 10 somewhere else as well
Broke 100 though for my nett score

Saturday Stableford 33 points

I was a little disappointed to be honest, my handicap has gone out to 5, thought i'd cash in and win all the skins with the boys, but just didn't do anything well!
In my eyes what makes the 33 points even worse was, i parred index 1,2 and 3 therfore 9 points right here.......

Sunday back in the Pennant team after 3 weeks off.

I won 8 and 6.
Total contrast to Saturday couldn't do a thing wrong!
Started- Par, Birdie, Par, Birdie, Par, Par - 5 up after 6 holes.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

This game.

7 days after my worst round at the Vines I rock up Friday night with zero expectations, par the first 3 holes and walk off with a 40 and 24 points

Flaggy

Course is in good condition, greens nice and quick for tomorrow's vardon which was painful for my putting.
Driver was only fair. Did hit a cracker on the 15th though.

The 56° was on point today.
5 chips
4 rolled over the edge and one dropped

31 points
