A similar brain explosion like that in football would see your place immediately in jeopardy.

I do not believe for a.minute that Uzzie has been focused on batting this year; he seems much more interested in promoting his global views and avoiding a pink ball. Been a long time since I have heard him discuss his batting.

He made the most test runs (1210) in 2023, wouldn't that suggest he was focused on his batting? He let his bat do the talking rather than talking about his batting.

Why do you have an issue with him promoting his global views?

I have no issue with his views on the current global problems, nor with his views on use of pink ball in test cricket.
I also recognise his solid year. I intended to reference this season, nor this year... apologies

My issue is over this whole series he has been focused on these areas to a far greater extent than previous, and at the same time his form has dropped.
Coincidence?

You clearly have enough of an issue to effect what you think of him and then post about it and I think you're looking to far into it as he as still had a reasonably solid series with scores of 41, 90, 42, 0, 47 and 0.

Do you think that writing messages on his shoes/wearing an armband/writing an Instagram post is likely to result in a loss of form? E.g. do you think he forewent net sessions?

More to the point, what insight do you have into what Khawaja's "focus" is/was?

Wow... sweating a bit in the witness box here... guilty, for having an opinion.

Uzzie has had several interviews expressing his views, and how he can circumnavigate the system to have his views made on the field.
He has also been robust in his feelings about pink ball tests.
This has coincided with his worst series since his return.

Gawd, I forgot the cardinal rules for this group:
Go hard and smash away at anything Smith, Labuschange and Warner do, but don't dare speak evil of Carey, Head or Uzzie.

Umpires are exceptional these days, go back to the way it was.

The delays and half ball decision rubbish are embarrassing.

Standard Error of Estimate of the predictive track - can’t completely trust the computer boffins.

Happy with principle of umpires call as opposed to umpire error

Agreed, staggered they are not including all of the wicket.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Righto he’s gone.
So who opens in Adelaide?
Surely not Green or even Smith as has been discussed recently.
Bancroft for me deserves another chance and ironic he replaces Warner.

Marnus got a good one, just acknowledge it and get off

Agree. Staring at the pitch is both trying to take credit away from the bowler and take away the responsibility of your own error/shot.

Gut feel is Green is the one they are going to give it to…..personally I wouldn’t

Bancroft is probably the one who deserves it but I don’t like the irony of one tamperer replacing the other

I would go with Renshaw.
