The Dogs have signed a 205cm raw ruckman, and are hopeful to round off their signings with a 188cm, 20yo mid who has played 30+ games in the WAFL.
Will make a total of nine recruits of which seven are high possibilities of league round one.
The two taller lads are longer term investments that will benefit greatly from the newly appointed ruck coach Buckets McKenzie.

The North Adelaide Football Club is excited to announce that Luke Lawrence will join the Roosters in 2024.

Name: Luke Lawrence
Age: 19
Height: 184cm
Weight: 81kg
Position: Inside/Outside Midfielder

Luke Lawrence joins the Roosters after a strong season with the Mangoplah (MCUE) Goannas in the AFL Riverina Football League, finishing runner-up in their best and fairest. Prior to 2023, Luke spent 4 years in the GWS Academy Program and represented the Allies in the 2022 Under 18 National Championships. Luke is a powerful inside/outside midfielder who has good acceleration and speed. Luke likes to take the game on and is good in contested situations. A high-quality person, Luke will be an exciting addition to our squad with his versatility to play in multiple roles.

“Luke is a smooth moving, powerful midfielder who also comes out of the GWS academy program. Another lad out of Wagga, Luke’s speed and spread out of stoppage is a highlight of his game, along with his ability to win the contested ball and pressure opposition. Luke loves to take the game on and is super competitive with the highest of character. We are very excited to see what Luke can do in the Red & white this season. Please welcome Luke and his family to the Roosters.” Senior Coach, Jacob Surjan.

“Pretty thrilled and excited to join a club that has a rich history and amazing football culture. I am very keen to come down and develop myself as a football player and help the club in any way possible, both on and off the field.” Luke Lawrence.

We would like to welcome Luke to the North Adelaide Football Club, and we look forward to watching him represent the Roosters in season 2024.

Don't think that is correct
Jameson not part of the coaching group

The Central District Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Gippsland Power and Morwell Ruckman, Harvey Howe.

Harvey, 19, who stands at an impressive 203cm and weighs 103kg, has spent most of his football journey developing his craft within the Coates League in the Victorian U18 competition.

A super-competitive performer in and around the center bounce, Harvey has excellent ruck craft. He will be given time to continue his development under the watchful eye of our newly appointed ruck coach, Jason “Buckets” McKenzie.

Football Manager Mark Ross added the following comments about Harvey.

“Harvey is a high-quality individual who is super keen to take his game to the next level. We see Harvey and (2023 recruit) Ryan Pickering as long-term ruck giants who will offer us plenty of options not only in the ruck but also as forward 50 targets. When gathering information about Harvey, two things were consistently mentioned: his competitiveness and his character. He is a very popular teammate with a big upside to his game, with excellent athleticism and an all-around solid skill level.”

Howe is our 8th new signing since the conclusion of the 2023 season. We welcome him to the Ponderosa and look forward to watching his journey.
