Yes, I expect them to be competitive against Australia, at least better than last time they toured Australia.
I'm looking forward to seeing how their top 5 go- Shafique, Imam, Masood, Babar, Shakeel seem solid and settled at the moment plus either Sarfaraz or Rizwan are very good keeper batsmen. They obviously have a reasonable group of fast bowlers too- Afridi, Naseem Shan, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf are their most notable.

Was only a matter of time
Sad times ahead I fear

South Africa will send a weakened squad to New Zealand for next summer’s Test series against the Black Caps to ensure the nation’s best cricketers are available for its domestic T20 league.

On Tuesday, CSA chief executive Pholetsi Moseki confirmed no players contracted to the six SA20 teams, which are owned by Indian Premier League franchises, would travel to New Zealand for the two-Test series, which gets underway in Mount Maunganui on February 4.

In other words, it's an A tour... shouldn't be counted as test matches if they're not sending their best available.

Shouldn't make a difference to the result, but their top bowlers may have been a bit of a handful on NZ wickets.

I was comparing the Fab 4 but none of them compare to his conversion rate.
29 hundreds in 80 innings, 13 fifties so 32 fifty plus scores in 80 innings.
