I think if you impact the result of the contest illegally, then it's a free. However, if you impact the contest and it doesn't affect the result, play on! This one... was definitely a free to the Povoes.

Random low level relevance AFLW fact:

Swans Bella Smith, who played up forward and should've kicked 2 goals against Port is the niece of multiple Port Adelaide Premiership and brief Crow Darren Smith.

Yeah, hasn't been a good season.
Was always going to go one of two ways, either a full preseason and time together as a group was going to facilitate them taking the next step and pushing up into the 8th-12th range, or the second year blues were going to hit.
Unfortunately it seems it's the latter. A lot of players more interested in getting photos for social media rather than working out how to kick a drop punt 40m. And how's the goal kicking over the last three weeks.... 12.33, that's just a 26.67% conversion rate.

You can throw out a few questions, like why was Tahau moved from half back to 2nd ruck over the off-season, but once she did her knee it didn't really matter anyway.

I can cop the losses to the crows and lions, they are reasonable sides, but after that, it's been fairly disappointing. The performance against west coast was the moment I put a line through them.

Saint has been good, and Scholz has shown glimpses, but yeah, not a lot of positives in season 2.

Ah well, cricket's started now anyway.

Watching Port play, their skills are horrendous, one player 30 metres in the clear drops a chest mark that a kid would take. I know people make errors but that is just one of so many.

Erin Phillips , probably the greatest female player, just can’t run now.

North look very skilled and structured

Our game plan is horrendous. Watch the good sides play and they play to their strengths which in the main is short kick to a target. Anything over 30m is a bail out and Adelaide, Melbourne and North rarely do that unless the quick transition / out the back is on offer.

We're playing an AFL brand and the side doesn't have the aerobic ability to get up and back as we're trying to play. We push back deep, we go long, it comes back in. We push up, the ball gets out the back and we get scored against.

We're trying to play a style that doesn't suit our skill set.

Interesting point I just heard raised on SEN, the four most successful clubs; Adelaide, Melbourne. Brisbane and North are the only four club’s fully aligned to their men’s teams in terms of training and staff

3 of them part of the inaugural season, North entered season 3.

Fair leg up for the sides who are in season 5 ( North ) or 7 ( Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne ) by way of establishing programs.

Interesting that the other 14 sides don’t/haven’t done it.

Is a fair leg up, that’s how Collingwood won the GF this season ;)

Both wearing predominantly ‘light blue’ and white guernseys and dark coloured shorts.

Nice work AFL

Awesome crowd for the Swans pies game. And we will cost the pies a million too. Good times. Possibly play finals too.

Only saw the 2nd half but it was an excellent example of how the Women's game has progressed, at the top end the teams have worked out how to move the ball from the inside to the outside and use space to their advantage, despite the pressure levels still being high on the ball carrier there is a lot more composure and better decision making happening now which makes it very enjoyable to watch.
